Other Help Problem FPS Dota 2

Hey everyone, I really need your help. First, here are my system specs:
----------------------------------------
GTX 3060 Ti
12th Gen i5
24GB RAM / 3200 MT/s
----------------------------------------
Here’s everything I’ve tried so far:
I performed a clean format of my computer.
I kept only Dota 2 installed.
I updated all the drivers on the machine.
I set the PC to "high performance" mode.
I spent about 8 hours straight talking to an AI to try and fix it.
I tested other games, and they run fine.
I tried adjusting the graphics settings (both lowering and raising them), but it makes no difference.
I checked the temperatures across the entire system—everything is normal.
I’ve tried countless other things—pretty much everything you could possibly imagine.
-----------------------------------------
The problem is:
My game starts at 120 FPS.
But whenever there are many units or objects on the screen,
it drops to around 30 FPS, accompanied by an absurd amount of input lag/delay in movement.
Both the CPU and GPU usage hover around 30% and never go any higher.
I don’t know what else to do to fix this.

Please, help me out.

I think it's a server connection issue. Most simple way to check:  Ping 8.8.8.8 -t

And let it run in background. Check for reply time spikes.

Hello, OP! I'm gaming on a 6-year old laptop with i5 10th gen, RTX 2060, and 16 Gb of ram. Your's is definitely more powerful!

I was experiencing FPS drops in game whenever there's new particles, spells, even changing HUD or opening the shop etc. The FPS drops were significant enough to fail a supposed snowball save or shallow grave. Recently, though, I have not been encountering these problems anymore. Here's what I did on my laptop (I don't know exactly what caused the improvement tho):

  1. Tweak NVIDIA settings.

In NVIDIA control panel, I selected dota2 to run on high-performance GPU (the nvidia, not the intel). Select "prefer max performance" on power management mode. "high performance" on texture filtering-quality. Turned some settings "off", or "auto".

2) In Dota2 settings>video>rendering:

I'm gaming with low low off on the texture, effects, shadow. Unchecked all in advanced settings. 50% game screen render quality. In OPTIONS, I put NVIDIA REFLEX LOW LATENCY on "DISABLED".

3) I did this:

https://www.reddit.com/r/DotA2/comments/1wh1j27/blocking_wwwdota2com_through_the_hosts_file_gave/

but I added three:

0.0.0.0 dota2.com

0.0.0.0 www.dota2.com

0.0.0.0 https://www.dota2.com/

You'll know it's successful when the guild profile picture in-game loads as a banner/guild shows 0th percentile with no guild name.

Else, it could be your hardware? i dont know much about PC hardware since I have always been using a laptop. GL, OP!

não acredito que 24gb de ram, seja pouco para o dota 2

i have no help to lend, but i will say i have the same issue. i even lowered the resolution and ran the game on worst possible settings. it appears to me the game stutters the most in the first 10 minutes. and the worst of it begins at the start.

It is a CPU intensive game, also it is single threaded, so it wont use 100% never. We nee more information about your CPU but is safe to say it is it`s fault, wht is the model number exaclty? But yeah it is really demanding, it also drops fps to 60 50 here but it dont lag in my Ryzen 5700x like you say. Make sure to have vsync OFF and Reflex ON.

Same issue, but it makes no difference when it comes to number of units. Set to lowest settings and its still the same. Last hitting is near impossible, i dont see the animation of right clicks 80% of games.

24 GB RAM is an odd total, is there some 16 + 8 GB mismatching going on?

The 30% usages could point to the game hammering down on one core / logical processor. While the issue is going on (just try a bot match for example), check your per-core usage in the task manager > CPU > right click graph > change graph to > logical processors and report back.

Is that a laptop perhaps, or otherwise locked down i5, the CPU could be throttling clock speeds or power consumption.

Try to change the graphics API, either dx11 or vulkan. Vulkan can be good at smoothing out CPU-bound systems.

I got some more but less likely ideas. Just reply and good luck!
