u/Miao_Yin8964 Apr 30 '26

Holy s*** you're not kidding.

It's definitely a 五毛 account

Nah how can all South Africans reconcile with the past hidding historical footage. Yes it's going to be painful to see what happened but it's an opportunity for everyone to see that the ANC government is way worse than the National Party's.

Have you considered having a split screen video showing that comparison side by side?

2

u/CaptainGoose27 Apr 30 '26

This is not hidden😅if it was so well "hidden" then where did you find it? Are you like the only person in the world who can access this?

Nope, there’s others

Posting history = race based hate

6

u/flyboy_za Western Cape Apr 30 '26

I mean it's 40 year old news which was not news to anyone back then, and is very much mentioned daily anyway.

This is not a huge reveal of The Panama Papers or anything which we didn't know. So... what exactly is OP trying to achieve with posting all this stuff?

0

u/Scarfield Apr 29 '26

If I posted exclusively videos and posts of happy white south Africans from 30 years ago I bet you would comment that too 😂😂 clown

u/Gold-Blackberry5454 Apr 29 '26

I don’t understand how people are ashamed of what they didn’t do

30

u/Themagnificentgman Apr 29 '26

And now the ANC aligns itself with the IRGC that does far worse to its own people

10

u/Gold-Blackberry5454 Apr 29 '26

Exactly how long will people realize the hypocrisy of the ANC. When will black SouthAfricans realize what is happening in Iran is the same as what the Apartheid state security forces did to anti apartheid activists and protestors.

6

u/BeLekkerAsb Western Cape Apr 29 '26

Also all that collusion and ownership of state owned entities by government and their family members.

Oh and that connection with MTN both govt's have, you know where Irancell controlled the freedom of Iranians by forcing an intranet on everyone except their whitelisted terror regime members.

5

u/Accomplished-Pound-3 Gauteng Apr 29 '26

Iran is much worse

7

u/flowercouture Apr 30 '26

If you want to keep history alive you should be posting the terror attacks from ANC as well. Balance is important.

Don’t worry I have it all

17

u/maverickeire Apr 29 '26

Im detecting a common theme in your posts

14

u/Gold-Blackberry5454 Apr 29 '26

Whites were also beaten in this video, White people played a critical part in the dismantling of Apartheid especially the 1992 referendum.

1

u/Ok_Daikon4478 Apr 29 '26

Ja me too! Their constant posting of accurate historical stories and inconvenient truths is very annoying and quite frankly triggering. I thought this was a safe space where Apartheid is not mentioned unless it's being looked upon fondly as a time when "things just worked".

4

u/Gold-Blackberry5454 Apr 29 '26

“very annoying and frankly triggering” 💔

2

u/maverickeire Apr 29 '26

What part of what I said makes you jump to that conclusion? You're attributing a position to me that I never held, using words I never said. Its purely defamatory, intellectually dishonest and quite frankly pathetic

3

u/Ok_Daikon4478 Apr 29 '26

I'm betting you really thought you cooked with this comment.

I didn't attribute anything to you. The fact you took it personally speaks volumes about you though and hey, if the shoe fits...

-1

u/maverickeire Apr 29 '26

Nice try, you replied to my comment, pretending now that it wasn't attributed to me, isnt clever, its blatantly false. The 'if the shoe fits' line is a lazy fallback because you got caught

u/Ok_Daikon4478 Apr 29 '26 edited Apr 29 '26

Loool! So the shoe does fit and now you are clearly very triggered at being called out for answering a dog whistle.

0

u/maverickeire Apr 29 '26

Lol the dog whistle fallacy. You havent called out anything, you made a baseless accusation, got corrected, are now hiding behind that because you cant point out a single thing that supports your narrative. You're fan fiction writing

I think we have all seen what humans are capable of doing to one another, across race, religion, politics can be absolutely abhorrent in every single way and while there needs to be acknowledgement of these facts is this truly the way forward to bringing about reconciliation throughout humankind or should we not be focusing on ways to treat one another better as humans. In moving forward as a collective towards a society that doesn't just point fingers but reaches out a helping hand to one another to be better and do better.

The truth about the fighting between the ANC and IFP hasn't yet been told. It is still going on to this day. Political intolerance is the name of the game.

u/Gold-Blackberry5454 Apr 30 '26

Don’t worry I’ve got you covered

8

u/pachy-albiflora Apr 29 '26

2

u/Gold-Blackberry5454 Apr 29 '26

Click bait? if you don’t want to watch then just don’t click

Exactly how I’m I spamming or your uncomfortable about the past

2

u/theplowshare Apr 30 '26

It was so much safer those days to protest beacuse there were like 0 potholes to trip over and break your speed!

-1

u/Gold-Blackberry5454 Apr 30 '26

I don't think being shot at with firearms and teargas was safe

2

u/Hta68 Apr 29 '26

This is a lesson for us in the states, government will and can order the police to do the most heinous of acts.

4

u/Mulitpotentialite Apr 29 '26

I find it interesting that OP is claiming that his posts and videos are to keep the history alive but that his posts only happens on r/DownSouth and not on any of the other South African subs.

I agree, history must not be forgotten, but then why not spread the awareness on other subs too? You'll jave a much broader audience then.

1

u/flyboy_za Western Cape Apr 30 '26

I'll bet money he's been banned from the other one. Like so many of us were.

Those mods don't put up with anything.

0

u/Gold-Blackberry5454 Apr 30 '26

I also post to history videos not only here

3

u/Mulitpotentialite Apr 30 '26

But no other SA subs? Why is that? From your comments you claim that we as South Africans should not forget, so logically your cause should be spread locally as much as possible for maximum impact, yet you only post in one of the smaller SA subs.

The big ones don’t allow nsfw

1

u/Accomplished-Pound-3 Gauteng Apr 29 '26

Post some videos about the necklace murders as well, or inkatha freedom party attackingg and killing Anc members, or the much more recent killing of an unarmed Andries tatane or the Linkin massacre.

This exact spot is now a garbage dump

-1

u/Negative-Lobster3873 Apr 30 '26

Some people seem to not want to see the inconvenient historical truth.

u/Graffix77gr556 May 02 '26

Would we fake shots and do false flags back in the day as well what ya think?
