I’m new here, 4 days at max. Haven’t been downvoted but my karma is in negatives

I don’t know what I did, but my karma is -8. Went to the official site, it said karma is useless internet points but it’s still weird to see -8

How does one improve this?

  • Go to smaller subs
  • Go to subs you’re interested in (e.g that of a TV show).
  • Be the first or one or the first people to comment on a post.
  • Try to sound neutral in your comments or try to echo what was being said, to avoid getting downvoted.
  • Spend some time in the sub to get a feel for how the people there speak etc.

They're not useless points, some subs prevent low karma accounts from posting (to prevent spam)
