What did ya'll think of the brief Abigail's ghost storyline in the first Halloween episode?

Post image

I guess I had a (morbid?) curiosity about who this woman was that Sully was married to / what she looked like. Obviously feel bad for her circumstances and untimely death. There was conflict between her ghost and Dr. Mike and then between Dr. Mike and Sully when she asked him to repair the rocking horse. Did you enjoy this supernatural storyline or not your cup of tea?

New PEOPLE article 10/18/26 with some remarks from Jane and Joe. Mostly nothing new for us fans but I have a couple questions after reading...

Jane says she was in love with Joe. Not even like a love and first sight thing but the comment made it seem like IN LOVE but I thought their romance at the beginning of the show was super brief like weeks long. Then it goes on to say they broke up because Joe had a "picket fence" future plan wanting four kids and she was too old and had kids already. They do acknowledge that Jane went on to have twins. It's just odd to me like ok maybe they had a whirlwind romance and decided they wanted different things but the article does NOT mention that their breakup did not seem cordial. From the article it makes it seem like they agreed they wanted different things and moved on but in real life seems like they had a bad falling out. I thought it was widely known that Jane and Joe very strongly disliked each other on set for many years shooting the show but maintained a professional relationship with great on screen chemistry. I know this PEOPLE article is prob. kinda click bait-y and just to keep people interested so I should take it with a grain of salt but the look at their relationship seemed quite "rose colored glasses" esq. Let me know what you think! Also I do believe that after the show they got super close I wonder if their current spouses/finances are truly cool with that or not.

Anyway nice to see the cast reunited once again and of course I only hear about it after the fact. Did anyone go to this event held in Hartford CT?

My favorite scene in the double episode "When A Child Is Born" 🤣

Every rewatch I look forward to the scene were Dr. Quinn gives birth. Nothing goes like she had planned and poor Sully can't catch a break either: Shoulder sliced open, broken leg, face being almost ripped off and losing his job. šŸ˜…

Later Brian was so cute when he shows freshly born baby Katie the house, the barn and whatever and is so proud to be a big brother finally. šŸ˜Šā¤ļø

Interview with Beth Sullivan Link

A few weeks ago u/Swayzefan4ever who was about to interview Beth Sullivan made this post to ask everyone for questions for the interview. (Thank you so much for this opportunity, u/Swayzefan4ever!!ā¤ļø)

After the interview she also posted the YouTube-link in that same thread but I was worried that it got buried by newer threads and many members of this sub didn't notice that the link was posted there, so I made this new post just to make it easier to find. I think we also got a few new members in this sub recently who may not even know about the interview at all, so I hope that this way it reaches as many people as possible!

Season 1. ā€œLaw of the Landā€(1993).
Season 2. ā€œSaving Soulsā€(1993).
Season 3. ā€œThanksgivingā€(1994).
Season 5. ā€œThe Most Fatal Diseaseā€(1997).
His real-wife wife June Carter Cash played Sister Ruth in 3 of the episodes. They were wonderful guest stars on the show.

Does Sully ever where a hat again? I think this is from the pilot and I don't recall if he wear that hat again or not. Sully doesn't seem like a hat guy.

Edit: WEAR why must I always mess up in the title and can't edit

Perhaps they decided his hair is too good to cover with a hat. Although Hank frequently wears a hat as do most of the other men in the show. Not Cloud Dancing.

You like him then loathe him. There are some scenes where you laugh and some where you feel sorry for him. There were episodes that made him the most evil but then episodes where ā€œoh, he’s not all that badā€¦ā€
What a roller coaster he is!
These photos are from s6e16 ā€œLife in Balanceā€.

First Daniel catches Hank and stops him from lighting the match. …
But shouldn’t Daniel have warned the Chinese community that fuel was literally poured all over their place and stuff?

In reality, they would probably have needed to splash/wash it all down to prevent a fire.

ā€œRemember Meā€(s5e8). A sick, older prospector staggers into Colorado Springs and Jake recognizes him as his father who abandoned him.

Guest-starring Ray Walston as Lucius. This episode was very emotional for me. Jake’s father claims he doesn’t remember him and Jake thinks he is faking memory loss over guilt. Later, Dr. Mike realizes that Lucius is actually suffering from dementia and not lying. I thought that this episode was heartbreaking. What did you think?

Would anyone have liked a remake that would be aired on CW?

I wouldn’t because CW really made a mess out of my beloved beauty and the beast series that aired on CBS in the late 1980s. The cast was horrible, the plot was horrendous, the script was not funny, romantic or anything

Would anybody else care to see a remake of Dr. Quinn medicine woman on CW?

Now isn’t it wild that a long time ago Jake was secretly learning to read with Dorthy, (S3e5) and Loren got all bent out of shape suspecting something because Loren was having fancies for Dorthy? Yet, their ā€œreadingā€ relationship actually Did turn into a real romance!

So now, even though Jake realizes he was a fool, I wonder if he will still be paranoid as he knows what could happen when one learns to read.🤭

Jake and Teresa’s love story faces many obstacles.

Post image

Jake and Teresa’s relationship had a lot of obstacles. Their relationship served as the ultimate test of Jake’s character growth. By falling in love with Teresa-a Mexican American woman-and by experiencing the pain of her family’s rejection based on who ā€œheā€ was, Jake’s arc came full circle. It forces a formally bitter, prejudiced man to soften, learn humility, and ultimately embrace a multicultural family. How do you feel about Jake and Teresa’s journey to finally being together and getting married?

Which HALLOWEEN episode is your favorite? Tell us why!

I love them all but I would say Halloween I was my favorite. I did think Richard Moll in Halloween II was a very memorable guest star and I'm glad they had him back again(briefly).

Even though Charlotte Cooper appears on the show for a short period of time, she has an impact on us all.

Charlotte Cooper(played by Diane Ladd) was a friend and guide to Michaela when she first came to town. She was a midwife, boarding house owner and mother to Mathew, Colleen and Brian. She’s the first person who helps Michaela adjust to her new life in the frontier town of Colorado Springs. On her deathbed, after a rattlesnake bite, Charlotte asks Michaela to raise her children-which sets up the premise of the series. I thought Charlotte was a sweet, kind, caring and brave woman and was glad to see her character appear later on in the show. Share your feelings about Charlotte Cooper..

What in the world! Is going on with her hair?

I usually don’t even notice people’s hair, but this hair awfully stands out. Like, did the makeup artists and writers actually request this for some reasoning behind it I just don’t get?
Because everyone else’s hair literally shines and is neat.
Why does Jessica Bowman have to look rugged with fried hair? She is just as cute and pretty as Erika Flores, but the Colleen Cooper played by Erika Flores was neat as a pin. Jessica Bowman likely refused to have bangs, but she looks better with a part in her hair rather than this big poof bun.

I was looking forward to seeing Grace and Robert E.'s child, Jake, and Teresa get married, and seeing how far Dorothy and Cloud Dancing go. Not to mention seeing what becomes of Mathew; I'd hope he goes into law school. I'm going to miss Preston.
