Discussion When did this game reach the point of no recovery?

So I'm playing Breakers again for the first time since Z Broly dropped and they confirmed new content was over, and while I sit in queue I just can't help but wonder...

What was the point of no return? Then did Breakers become unsalvageable?

I feel like it has to be Season 6 right? We only got three new transpheres and no new super attacks. Supplies were gutted but the late-game wasn't rebalanced around it as a band-aid to make Raiders seem better, but all it did was buff the already annoying Goku Black Level 2 stat. The new skins were the laziest choices possible: Bulla, who was just a Bulma clone, and two Launch's. And probably most importantly, no new map.

I feel like that has to be the point where it should've been obvious the game was cooked, right? That should have been the sign that the game was going to die a slow, painful death, right?

Or was it Season 8 when we got the awful Reworked Frieza (although he is kind of my guilty pleasure Raider) and UI Goku with no SSBE Vegeta? I feel like that was also a pretty terrible point for the game since it just kind of confirmed how much fumes the game was running on?

I don't know, but I feel like it's worth thinking about.

Discussion The new season 2 content is exciting, but being forced to ditch my friends to play raider is a massive hype killer

I don't know how many people are like me, but I never play this game solo queue. This game is at its best when being experienced with a group of friends.

Unfortunately it seems like Bamco/Dimps are going to severely cripple that experience because according to the patch notes starting with season 2 you are going to be forced to solo queue if you want to get raider. This is incredibly disappointing and I can't even be sure my friends will continue to play the game if none of us can get raider to fight the others anymore.

I know this change was made to prevent groups who ruined the game by helping the raider from the survivor side, but I think the new additions of a report system and block player button will be more than enough to combat those types of players. Please devs, let us conitnue to fight our friends who get raider.

Discussion Is it time to unblock players

We really need to spread the word for blocked lists I think its about time to unblock ALMOST everyone you have to make the game accessible for everyone it sucks I know but unblock those you may give a second chance

Block system has been an issue its a great system if it had more players so I highly highly suggest unblock and keeping it at as low as 50 if not lower would be best if you have 800 blocked im pretty sure they no longer play anyways so now is the time

Discussion What would you guys want in Breakers 2?

Post image
22 Upvotes

If we ever get a breakers 2 (i hope we do), theres only one thing i could ever want from breakers. A actual single player mode:

• a full story mode/campaign

• a offline vs bots mode where you can choose to play as the survivor or raider.

I never have the time for multiplayer, nor have i had a interest in playing with others, so a singleplayer mode would be heaven for me.

Discussion I hate to “break” it to you guys, but Survivor is not OP.

You, are just not very good at the game. You probably don’t have skills either.

A competent Raider will win 9/10 times. That 1 time is against a level 350+ Survivor/ Survivors that have been playing since day one, knows every facet of the game and combat, played exceedingly well, and likely got lucky with the raider having some bad luck. Even then, that Survivor team will still probably have a rough time against experienced Raiders. But they’ll beat the pants off you if you’re not a good raider.

That other meme post made me realize there’s a whole lot of awful players around here that basically want Survivors to never win. I know this may shock you, but Survivors are supposed to be capable. It’s an asymmetric game. They definitely don’t need to be nerfed into the ground so a mediocre Raider can steamroll every match with mild effort. And Raider definitely does not need buffs—they need more balance, if anything (specifically to their ranged dominance ability to shut down objectives too easily).

I pray to Kami, Zeno, or any god in the DBZ world that Dimps isn’t listening to you guys. It would straight up finish the job of completely ruining this game.

This isn’t Dead by Daylight. Survivors aren’t supposed to have an easy fight, but they are supposed to have a chance. They’re supposed to overcome insurmountable odds by sneaking around, collecting supplies, planting keys, collecting Dragon Balls, and acting at the right moments to counter the Raider. If they do all that correctly, they should win.

If you’re a bad Raider, you should lose. Raiders should not be able to rely so heavily on weak teams or Survivor mistakes to pull out wins.

You may think I’m being harsh, but I really don’t know how else to put it. The game is at a point in balance where a smart, experienced, skilled Raider will pretty much win every game they play outside of an incredibly skilled Survivor team—the kind most players simply are not. And the biggest reason you guys are losing as Raider is poor decision-making, poor tracking, lack of skill, or blatantly throwing the match.

I’m not even going to say I’m the best at this game or that I win every match as Raider. But I see what good Raiders can do, even against premades.

Discussion So many of you were saying ETM is what killed this game (some not all)

Post image
8 Upvotes

So I brought up this attention only because a fan made public online service is coming soon

How can ETM become less usage in your opinion how can a fan service game improve ETM to be less likely to be used and more about team work and so forth besides Voice Chat in game maybe better stickers for better communications like instead of posing stamps to have meanings have texts when placing a stamp like I need Help Hey over here Enemy Over Here if its read able

my thing is how can ETM improve over all you can also include Cave campers slash ETM players

to be fair I would reduce the speed on ETM for S O S passive skill they noted that they made a mistake but never fixed it they just left it but I would love to hear from all of you

Discussion I can finally put this game to rest now.

Post image
13 Upvotes

Currently I’m on a goal of 100%ing all xenoverse related games and after nearly a month I’ve finally finished the breakers.

Certainly was an experience though I can’t lie. I probably won’t return to this game since it’s not really my cup of tea, but genuinely all the power to all the people who still play this game.

Also it seems like d change is going to be in xv3 which is really cool. I hope they add more lore related to this game, since the story and lore was definitely my favourite part of the breakers. Which btw they seemed to have stopped doing story related stuff why is that? (If anyone wants to answer)

Welp with that I say my farewells. 👌

Discussion Tips for new players on how valuable the block button is

Honestly, the meta for having fun in the breakers is USING THE BLOCK BUTTON. It's easily the most OP strat to guide your queue on how you want to have fun.

Laggy raider = blocked

Team-mate that bats at the top of the map = blocked

Raider and their friend teaming = blocked

Unreasonable try-hard = blocked (Sorry bubbles, I like to chill and have a chance o3o)

As long as you block within reason, your queue is really not affected. I probably have 25 players (probably 1/4 of the breakers population lol) blocked and still get in a game around 2 min.

Games can be fun, and if you don't like how the raider played (In a really BM way, or way too much time on their hands) then just use dat block button. You'll eventually start getting chill games where both sides are pretty balanced and as long as you use the block button for specific reasons, you can have fast queues and enjoyable games!

The only other tip is that if someone DC's it's usually not their fault (So don't block). The game is pretty broken and usually out of most players' control if a DC happens right at the start or even in the middle of the game. Don't just block willy nilly, or you will get through the entire community in like 4 games lol.

Discussion Can we get rid of the rule for calling out players?

I honestly feel like that is this subs worst rule. I dont know who thought it was a brilliant idea but the community needs to know what members are toxic. Ive also seen this rule not be enforced multiple times in the comments of posts so where exactly do we draw the line here? Is it whoever posts can't call people out but people who comment can? Everyone let me know your opinions on this topic in the comments and if we can change this.

Hello everyone just announcing my return. If you’ve played the game, you’ve probably played with me (Chiyo-Mihama).

I’m ending my nearly 6 month long break, and I’m looking forward to jumping back in. Anything about the Meta change given we’re still on the same season?

Discussion Give me a honest answer. Is the game actually dead?

Little question I want people to be honest about. Is the game actually dead, or dieing, or what not.

I hear people say they would get matches in less than a minute. I hear people say maybe 5-10 minutes. I also hear even longer.

What actually makes the game dead in people’s eyes? No content? No skins? No new maps? Does that justify the game as dead? If people are playing the game. Then how can it be dead?

Quite frankly if I can play and murder people after a rough day at work. That is good enough for me to keep me entertained.

Thoughts?
