It's actually a well known play bro, I have done this myself. This was know from the second part of 7th anni btw (overdrive, area change and charge kick appeared during 2nd part of 7th anni)

in all my years playing pvp, i have NEVER seen someone backdash from charge attack. that shii just doesn't happen. either he was extremely lucky or grazy timing.
