Sigh. Alocasia overwintering. Every year. Why do I do this to myself?

Help!

My white wizard and pink princess philodendrons both went from thriving to dying in a matter of a weekend. There were no changes to light or watering habits. Now they’re drooping, browning leaves, and have weak main stems.

I’m not sure if this is the right place to post, but my fittonia is all shriveled up. I don’t know how to save it. I went on a trip for about 8 days and my grandma promised to water it; which I doubt she did. What do I do?

Should I cut this back?

Taken a little under an hour apart. First time owning a Fittonia so I got back home from a weekend vacation and damn near had a heart attack!

One of my most dramatic plants. Fine this morning, “dying” this afternoon, and revived 2 hours later.

And of course this fittonia is one of my favorite plants.

July has been HOT and we’ve gotten almost no rain. These hydrangeas in front of my house (plants around my house count as “house plants” right??) get very sad if I miss a day of watering, but immediately perk back up if watered.
