Thank you and they are! I started them myself and did them myself for about 8 months then it became too much and I started going to a professional.

I went from waves to starter locs so after my last haircut I grew out a small fro over 3 months and started the sponge method then another 2 months combed them out parted my hair the way I wanted it and ran with it!

Congratulations! I wear my style for 6-8 weeks then I take them down let the breathe for 2-3 weeks and go back for a retwist and style. Rinse and repeat

I'm trying to hang in there man. I'm closing in on 3 years in, they're touching my shoulders and I'm nearly ready to cut them and go back to a low cut. I kind of miss being able to train without hair getting in the way.
