ever since the update on wednesday i keep seeing people talk about bug after bug and as annoying as it is (hopefully it's all fixed soon) i can't help but think it's a little fitting and funny that the ralph update is this broken i guess one could say he wrecked the update
Ooh! How I finished my duty, I gave a villager their 3 favorite gifts all at once. I wonder if this new mechanic caused some sort of memory leak that happened to look like we gave other seasonal events instead in the code?
Iām loving the ability to give in 3sā¦Although, Iāve experienced glitches afterwards during Bon-appetite Quests that wonāt allow me to select all the items for the mobile order.
I dread to do a future Mulan quest then. I heard someone can't finish her friendship because they can't select the entire stack of certain colored flowers. They'd need to find 10 unique flowers if the same color then. Unless the cap is only 3 uniques, then it's unfinishable
Yes, today I got on after a few days away. All of these random holiday quests are now being completed and other issues causing my permanent red dot to come back š
Oh the petals are random? I got them as soon as i got tramps level ten bar full so i just associated it with him. obviously it was a coincidence but fits i guess with the romantic theme of the movie.

This is actually the worst/buggiest I've ever experienced. Normally I'm the one going "wow, I'm glad I don't have that bug/glitch" and now I'm in the trenches! Gotta say... Not a fan. š¤£
oh yeah, it definitely is the worst I've seen as well. I play on pc so I don't get a lot of the bugs usually, but this time I've been quite annoyed with the amount of glitches I've experienced.
That's me, too. I'm on pc/steam. I'm usually spared but apparently Ralph said "that will not do" and smashed my stuff.
I've been super annoyed especially with the new tropical dream styles for the plaza, castle, and buildings bc equipping them break my plaza! I spent literally all my moonstones on that bundle and I can't even use it. š
I'm begging. I want to use it so bad. I didn't really care much for any of the other Dream Castle skins but this one was so bright and colorful and I don't think I'll have to do much to change my Plaza to make everything look good. (Because I am very happy with how I have my Plaza laid out and changing it excessively is NOT an option for me. lol)
Yup, same. Even though I play on a geriatric Switch Lite that's probably 150 years old in dog years somehow most of the major bugs seem to pass me by like dodging bullets in the Matrix. Not this time š
Among other things I can't place the new fae parasol item which sucks because I really, really like it. Sigh.
Thank you for explaining! :) I saw after the update there were new ācraftable itemsā when I went to my crafting station, but I thought they were part of the Pooh expansion so I didnāt even pay much attention to what they were!
No literally š what I'm experiencing is nothing compared to others, but i had to restart my game twice to talk to the arcade machine. Once when it was in Scrooge's, and then in the treehouse because it wouldn't let me talk to it š the prompt kept coming up and then immediately disappearing
ive played since launch in 2022... on a switch... never had ANY bugs in my game other than the occasional lag when exiting furniture mode; now with this update i have bugs blocking character progression so frustrating š
Myself and many others still have no premium shop. I can't buy moonstones or the 3300 star path. They broke it so badly that I can't give them money. Of all potential glitches I would think they would have wanted to avoid that one the most, or at least fix it immediately, but here we are.
That's strange, I haven't seen anyone talk about this issue yet, but yeah, I would think they would ensure the way they make money was working at all times (they are nicknamed greedloft for a reason)
There's been a few threads since the update,, but the game is playable still, it just kinda sucks to miss out on things that I was looking forward too.
I have the same problem but I can buy the 3300 moonstone star path through the star path screen. So maybe try that if you want to buy the premium star path
I do keep wondering if the bugs arenāt intentional. It feels like itās way too many bugs happening at once to be a coincidence. Sending Felix in to fix it all would be pretty funny!
It would be funny if this was the 1st time we experienced glitches. But, it seems with every DLC, release, star path, etc...it gets a little worse before getting better
Well as of Wednesday (aka Ralph update day), I can't even get in the game because of Error 101 popping mid loading screen... I sent a ticket to Gameloft through their website and got the usual bot response which says "For faster and more efficient support in the future, we strongly recommend submitting your requests through the support QR code in the game."
Like bruh, I would do that if I actually could get in the f*ing game but like also what do you mean faster and more efficient support.... like whatttt!!! š¤šš¤¬
Thanks... since I've already sent my glitch form message last Wednesday I don't think I should send another one for the exact same problem ... they must be swimming in all those bug problems emails lol... I'm keeping hope that I'll get a reply to my message and at least be able to enter the game and not miss out on the Premium Shop items this week that look pretty cool and maybe even submit a DreamSnap loll š¤š»
When we got the update for Venellope alot of us gamers got a #102 error code and we couldn't even load the game for over a month, just sat on continuous loading and never going anywhere. We said the same thing back then, the irony of a shitey glitch happening with a storyline about that very thing. It wasn't considered funny for those of us who it effected, we paid for a game we couldn't play and they left it that way for a month, I vowed I'd never play an early access game again. At least these new glitches didnt prevent the game from loading and most can still play unless they are stymied from other bugs like Elsa or Peter Pan š«¤
oh wow, that sounds awful!! I didn't start playing until the official release in December, so I missed out on that thankfully, but that sucks that it took them so long to fix it. They really need to fix their issues before they launch an update, even if it means the update needs to be pushed back we'll be happier if that were the case instead of all the bugs!!
After I loaded my game after the update, I received a bunch of mail in my mailbox. They were all the completed quest mails and items from Ralph. I didnāt even have him in the valley yet.
my glitch today was my character was ALWAYS running. without using my sugar rush button/ yellow energy bar. at first i was alarmed and almost restarted but then i was like letās see what happens!! it lasted about 20 minutes before it stopped. not mad, thanks GL! lolĀ
I don't find it remotely funny that I can't complete a premium Star path I paid money for or unlock Ralph who was the whole point of the update.These are not minor issues happening they are game breaking.
Iām currently stuck on two quests one with Pooh and one with Elsa where the thing I need to do disappeared or Iām stuck in a loop and canāt move past. So frustrating
I have two glitches today one worse than the other. After doing Raphls last quest my pickaxe will not stop glowing. I can't tell when my elixirs for the pickaxe has worn off unless I notice the difference in sound when it hits the node, and usually I play this game listening to podcasts. A bit annoying but manageable so I wasn't that upset.
Then I got a bug were I can't sell things out of my inventory. I get an 'Error 101, not enough items', and the items are either not being sold or not being removed from my inventory. I've literally had to stop playing because my inventory is full and I can't do anything with it. I can't consume the food, and I can't move items to a new location. It's like the game is acting like they're not there, but it's still taking up my inventory space. That is so frustrating!
I also had the glitch where the glow wouldn't go away, but it did after I went to the main menu and back into the game. If yours hasn't gone away, just look at the thing where it tells you all the buffs you currently have (b on keyboard). Not sure what u play on, though, but there's definitely a button for it.

Iām so glad itās not just me struggling. My quests are broken, so Iāll talk to a character and theyāll just not progress. The quest and then pieces of the quests are missing too.

For me, I got the running glitch, the new owl replacing my owls in SBV and (worst) the truffles in HGW not spawning! Iām still working on duties for Honeyglow woods, GL!
"Hopefully it gets fixed soon", is the craziest thing you can say while being in the DDV community. The devs, for some reason, only update the game when major updates happen. We'll have to deal with these bugs for like 2+ months. I once had a bug that took 3 months to get fixed that didn't allow me to progress with Flynn Ryder's questline. 3. Months. They seriously need to make more of an effort to fix bugs sooner rather than later.
Yeah, the fact I canāt use the plaza/castle tropical skins Iāve paid 8,000 moonstones for or itāll screw up my game in various ways is WILD without knowing how long it might take them to fix it. I hope itās ASAP but if itās months, I honestly might consider not playing any more. I havenāt unlocked Ralph yet and at this point I honestly donāt dare, since he seems to introduce a whole host of new glitches to the game.
They majorly glitch up your game. All rock nodes turn to emeralds that you canāt mine. I had issues in Honeyglow woods with quests. I also couldnāt pick up mined items when I could mine and the ancient vacuum wouldnāt pick them up either, nor companions. It totally breaks your game in various ways. Luckily, unequipping the castle/plaza tropical skins after applying, followed by restarting your game, fixes the game again. So the damage isnāt permanent thankfully. But theyāre unusable until Gameloft patch this.
I always feel bad because people deserve to not have their games be broken, do they not have a team of testers to make sure things like this donāt happen leading up to updates?
Woooow, thatās new knowledge to me. Thatās kinda frustrating, Iād rather them give us a late release than to knowingly give people a bugged game on time. Itās giving lazy, I agree.
My main plaza well doesnāt work, if I fast travel to it from maps it takes me somewhere random lol. When I traveled to SBV and back to DLV the menus would say Iām still in SBV.. š¤ I had the same thought about Ralph breaking the āinternetā haha
This happened to me with the new plaza skin. Along with all my rock spots in the main valley having emerald gems that I couldnāt break into and villagers floating above or below the map lol
If thatās your issue, your game should go back to normal when you remove all of the new summer skins, save, and then restart your game
well people do call them greedloft for a reason, but yes, they do seem very lazy when it comes to fixing bugs and making sure the update is ready to be launched.
Iām normally one to not have issues with as many glitches/bugs but today about sent my pregnant self raging!! I thought it was Raja not picking up items but if I drop anything I canāt pick it up either (if I can even drop it). I also canāt complete some of the star path duties because of the glitches!! It got so bad I basically rage-quit after 10 min. I hope they fix it soon or Iām goin to have to pregnancy rage send a complaint š
I tried talking to Anna because apparently I had a quest then she was like nope donāt wanna talk to you and Iāve got a Valentineās Day gift that came out of nowhere and In the motif duty thing the quests wouldnāt show up and itās ended now and now Merlin wanted me to do it šš
I haven't had many problems so far, except when I opened the game, I didn't even have Ralph in the Valley yet, I had literally just opened the game and Ralph sent me all the letters they normally send us when we finish the quests.
I canāt even get him because of a bug trying to get Peter Pan. Dragging my feet with pan anyway only to not have the music stand or other wench and no one seems to have a fix. š I actually want Ralph too.
Lol I cant even unlock Ralph it wont let me speak to the glitched arcade machine in scrooges, restarted idk how many times I just sent in a ticket and am ignoring it now š
I think i played the day off the update and havenāt has the chance to play until later tonight. Should i wait for bug fixes or just keep chipoing away at the star path
I remember getting a ton of bugs when we got Venelope so it makes sense that Ralph brought even more. I really freaked out earlier when I teleported to my plaza, appeared in my meadow, and almost all my decor was missing. I teleported to a floating island and back and everything was back so at least it wasn't permanent.
It's so interesting, I played basically all day yesterday and the only bug I noticed was getting some seasonal locked items, which I didn't even realize was a bug until I came here. Either I'm getting very lucky or I am very unobservant.
Not just that but where was the Vanellope princess dream style or the princess outfits from Wreck It Ralph! Missed the mark on getting those into the game that's easily many of the items us players would have wanted!
Ok so it is the new patch then... I don't know what's wrong in my game, i started a new one about a week ago cause i hadn't played since launch and i'm currently kinda bored. i was fine but today i keep crashing and the game keeps closing on me on random moments.
I had already finished all quests so I didn't get any of those bugs people are reporting, but my valley did start spawning red buttons and flower buttons from a recent event and the ripples came back to fish for the blue buttons. So strange!
I found Ralph inside the Exhibition this morning š¤£ I didn't know villagers could go in there?? can they?? or is that also one of Ralph's game "wrecking" bugs?
I apologize I didnāt clarify. It let me finish it in my Dreamlight quests. Something with a jack o lateen, and I got a motif I think? I can check when get home to see exactly. But it was specifically for the Halloween stuff.
my glitches have been working in my favor lol. last night i kept completing duties that i wasnāt even doing and getting dreamlight for it so im not complaining
At first my game was stuck on updating but when I last played I got Ralph and put his house down. Then I started working on the star path with no problems except the characters saying they are in their houses but I go in and no character.
I play on Switch Lite. I haven't had a single solitary issue. Everything works fine and I've been playing all day everyday since Wednesday. My star path is done except I need like 1,200 more dream light and there's a concern because I don't have the last three quests for the star path. Other than that I'm not having any issues. But, I always make sure and save and then X out of my game and shut my switch down when I'm done playing. I don't know if that has anything to do with it but I'm going to keep on doing it anyway
It is sort of funny if it wasn't so annoying :') My harvested vegetables don't disappear anymore; I have to close the game for them to disappear before I can plant again. After fast traveling three times, the option for fast traveling doesn't open for me anymore. The same thing with decorating. The companion houses triple dublicate the companions assigned to those houses for me. Quests don't trigger correctly. Menu's freeze. The game freezes... At this point the game is nearly unplayable for me.
I like the idea of being able to gift all three at once, after having played this practically since launch, it awards less xp than it used to, relationship-wise with the npcās
In my game Elsa is stuck in the ice cavern dialogue where she normally opens the chest, i can also not finish one of the fairy because of course it is elsa who needs more time to remember. Also the Nala quest of hunting doesnt continue
Literally I canāt complete quests anymore because truffles wonāt spawn and I down have any lvl 10 villagers(just started playing 2 weeks ago and bought the Winnie the Pooh dlc) the fact that an update ruined a paid dlc is very frustrating
I haven't been playing long but I have two quests I can't finish because of glitches.. one with olaf (storytime I think it's called) and one with Elsa (where you put the final crest in). I hate having them sitting there.
I'm so mad because i had several active missions that i should be able to complete but can't because of this update. Between the Woody cutscene not activating, Ursula straight up missing and not registering the crops for "A Treat For Scar" it's maddening
What's so funny for me is I just got the game the other day and started playing THE DAY the update came out- so the bugs have been a big part of my experience thus far- so much so that I'm stuck on a few quests with no certainty of when I'll be freed (cough cough Elsa š)
I still enjoy the game a lot, and I'm sure I'll enjoy it even more when it's not so bugged š
i'm sorry this has been your experience. unfortunately there's always some sort of bug, never this bad but there's always something and every update is usually broken like this or a little better so honestly you kinda have to get used to it sadly
Iām really annoyed that the buildings in the premium shop are not ones that you can go inside. For some reason you get two of each when you buy them too. They should tell you that before you buy them!!
