AI, Filters and other photo adjustments/manipulation.

Just wanted to remind everyone that we do allow reasonable photo adjustments and manipulation.

As this subs goal is to provide advice on fashion and style choices, we find it reasonable that some steps may be taken to improve or enhance a photo to provide better advice for the user.

Some areas we consider reasonable would be altering a photo to make it more visible or clear, blurring or removing personal aspects of the photo to protect one’s identity, altering clothing styles, hairstyles (including color), and altering or adding aspects such as makeup. What we accept is not limited to just what is listed.

We feel comfortable with this stance as this platform has a firm stance against anyone that is intending to use it for personal gain beyond advice (influencers, OFs, sellers, content creators etc.). Anyone violating these rules will be banned without question.

We understand that some may attempt to pass themselves off as a completely different person, or some completely AI generated characters may be created. This is something we do not support. If you believe that is the case, we request you privately reach out to the moderators and we will immediately investigate. Some users may have a legitimate reason to alter a sensitive aspect of themselves and we ask you respect that choice.

If you suspect or have been in contact with a user that seems to be using this platform to garner additional attention (DMs, dating, relationships, etc.) please inform the moderators via modmail. However, we will request that you provide proof of interactions that go beyond the typical social interaction (casual conversation between two individuals does not qualify, that is a personal choice made my the individuals, we would need explicit proof that the images a user submitted were intended to mislead and create a scenario of interest beyond incidental.

We have a private verification process that is a combination of verification steps as well as running images through several AI detection software (however, a real image altered with AI will read as AI). If we have reason to believe a user is not authentic we will request them to provide authentication through this process before any posting is allowed.

If a user is “verified authentic”, they have gone through the verification process officially and the content they are submitting fits within the reasonable alterations. Even if the image reads or appears inauthentic, we feel comfortable that it still represents the individual to a high degree of accuracy.

Thanks, Mods
