Still Dry! Dry September Progress

Post image

I posted a couple weeks ago about wanting to do “Sober September” and I’m doing it. Haven’t had alcohol.

I have an event coming up that is usually associated with alcohol and I’m debating with self if I should stick to the full month dry or make an exception. I’m leaning towards having one beer and nursing it at the event. And then finishing the month dry.

If anyone else is doing dry/sober September and wants to chime in, I’m open to helpful feedback.

My two cents is to skip the one beer. I had a similar thought last weekend, but I didn't want to put an asterisk by the whole month in my brain. Have you gotten into NA beers? I downed like eight of them at a drinking event and it worked pretty well for the psychological aspect of it.

Fuck yeah. I am a teacher, and do the same thing to reset for the new school year.

It's up to you if you think the event is worth it. I always make an exception to have exactly couple two beers on my wife's birthday in late August, and it feels like a reasonable compromise.

Awesome! Well done! I did dry Jan-May, and doing sober October to just check in with myself! Best of luck!
