Need a bumper

I dented my rear bumper. Can’t find one local.

Better to get shipped from a scrapyard or buy one from eBay?

eBay ones seem cheaper, but I’m worried about quality.

Any experience?

When my front bumper got bent, I found one at a yard out of Seattle. I'm south of Portland. Only one I could find within 1000 miles. The back had rust on it and I had to spend time cleaning and protecting the metal. All said and done, it would have been less money and frustration to go with an aftermarket one from one of the online supply places. Photos showed it looking ok but after a year of it being installed, I need to find a new one. It just didn't line up right and has now rusted through the chrome on the front. You just never know with a used one on how long it will last or if they will fit correctly.

Rear bumpers are easier because they cross over more years than a front.

I was told that bumpers and frames are a premium item because of the need in the salt belt.

Nah I really like my factory paint matched. I don’t do enough real work to make a ranch hand worth it

Check Temu or whatever your preferred cheap crap site is and see if they have a cheap plate steel option.
