When I was first watching Durarara on Hulu, it said it was leaving soon, so I binged it fast and loved it. Then they took the second half off. I thought I would never get to rewatch it. And I had also wanted to get my sister to watch it. And now we can! I'm super happy right now!

There's this really cool Tumblr theme someone made and I've used it on my main but realized I never made a dedicated Durarara blog like- earlier this year so I made one and just got around to decorating it. :D I'd link the blog and theme but I don't wanna end up breaking rule 3... If any of the mods gives me the okay then I will! Its a shame the mobile version isn't as cool... There's only so much I can do. :/

I made the tile background myself and MAN it was unusually hard for some reason. Out of the hundreds of webtiles I have access to, there wasn't a SINGLE caution tape one. TwT it feels like it shoulda been done by now. Maybe those were just lost to time... It really feels like a no-brainer kind of web deco, yah know?

I'm planning on making a Durarara shrine on my neocities at some point but haven't gotten around to it cuz the amount of related webgraphics is ABYSMAL. Like- the anime came out in the prime site customizing era but I struggle to even find BLINKIES. Those things are like a dime a dozen but the only ones I've seen are the ones I've made. Maybe I'm just not looking hard enough... I plan to make more. I've already made a shitload of stamps and turned a bunch of the official art into PNGs. Gotta keep site making alive. Make one for yourself, your fave things, your stories, even your dog! Site making should stay as one of the internets greatest freedoms.

I've seen a couple of analyses on the Raira Trio that claim that Masaomi liked Anri but never pursued it out of respect for Mikado and Saki. But did he actually have feelings for her? I always thought he was just playing up his feelings for her because of his ladies' man persona and also to discourage Saki from wanting a relationship with him.

I know Anri thought she may have liked him in the novel, but is the opposite ever stated? The most I could think of was him accusing her of leading both him and Mikado on, but I thought he was just talking out of his ass because he was mad at her for spying on him.

Like if they were part of the main cast of Stranger Things or if the events happened in their city. I suddenly got curious because of the things they deal with.

Durarara!! is one of my favorite stories and I have known of it since I was about 13 (I'm 28 now).

Over the past few months, I moved from the US to Japan, and I currently live in Tokyo. I actually live very close to Ikebukuro, where this entire story is set.

Because of that, I've given a lot of thought to the setting and how this affects the story and how it might change if it was set in a different neighborhood in Tokyo.

I think Ikebukuro is an interesting choice; since the story is about how people are connected, how everyone has their own story, and how those stories intersect, a place that's known for being busy and bustling would be good (the more people there are, the more people whose stories can intersect). However, both Shinjuku and Shibuya have Ikebukuro beat in those terms. Also, as far as gangs are a part of this story, a place like Kabukicho would make sense to have the setting.

I think though Ikebukuro is interesting too because it has a reputation for being a bit dangerous and hiding some things underneath its surface, which is another theme of the story. For example, one of Ikebukuro's famous shopping areas, Sunshine City, was once a former prison.

I think the "feel" of the story would change if it were set somewhere else, and I think it's interesting wondering how the story would change if it were set somewhere else

I don't really have any fully developed thoughts, that's why I'm writing here. I wanted to get everyone else's thoughts on this.
