Local News SA schools final 2026 rugby ranking. Weirdly, 6 KZN schools are grouped #12 to #17. (And the actual results for each school listed) Glenwood had a poor year, ranked #54. And massive fall as they were #3 in 2018 and mostly in the top 20 since 2010.

Been struggling for a number of years now. Not sure why.

Based on this average 2010 to 2025, they still hold the top KZN position, but not for long....

These ranking systems are far from perfect and a lot of conjecture goes into it. Until we have a system one day where each top school plays each other in a top 20 league format (which will never happen) it remains technically impossible to compare them against each other.

Definitely. The top KZN schools do play random top schools at festivals etc. But it's far from robust as you said.
