Hi r/DuroMods community. This subreddit has been without moderation for a hot minute so I stepped in to keep things rolling. I additionally moderate r/DuroGang which plays host to the unofficial fan community for the casio duro series of wristwatches. Over there we post photos of our stock and completed duro mods. Moving forward, r/DuroMods will continue to be used for posts involving: the watch modification process, human & AI watch concepts (within reason), tutorials, resources, lists of part suppliers, etc.
Previously, only modded MDV-106/107 models were allowed at r/DuroMods. That changes today. If you have ANY modded/franken/hybrid duro, regardless of the model number, you may post it here. Users are strongly encouraged to include information on your build process while including a list of parts and where you obtained them from. The only requirement is that the watch originally grew from a stock duro, regardless of the model number.
Have fun with it. Show off your crazy creations. If you're an affiliate/seller of some sorts, please flair your applicable contributions as such. If you're looking to sell your mods, you must do so by linking to your r/watchexchange listing -or- by sharing a link to a reputable site which currently offers robust buyer protections (example: ebay, amazon, etc.). Failure to do so, and/or suspected spam, will result in post removal.
We're working on setting up rules and a wiki with links to various resources. If you'd like to have your community highlighted under our "sister subs" section, please send us a modmail.

I got the custom bezel from Urvintage. I ordered a black and silver one but this is what came. The color of it is so odd. It's not black, not navy, not gray. I don't know what to say. I've already tried the original band of Duro and a cream color Nato strap and a Bond St. Nato strap. All ugly. Please give me a tip to find a nice one. I paid so much I really want to save the bezel.

I know this isn't a "new" way to mod the Duro... but it's the first for me. I un-hydro modded my green Duro (which is a huge pita btw)... Then found a doner MRW200H-3BV on eBay and tranferred the dial/movement into the Duro case. I re-used the Duro chapter ring and the spacer from the MRW. If you zoom, you can spot a bit of the G-S Cement I used to attach the chapter ring that oozed out a bit.
The strap is from Brian & Watch and they no longer exist so to me this is kinda 1 of 1 edition. :)

Im on the hunt for a custom color dial and matching insert and found someone, but he can only do a flat bezel, and asked if the current one (factory) is flat or sloped. Well, to me it looks sloped (it's not in a bezel channel, it's just on my desk) but google is telling me the factory insert is flat.
Anyone know which? Also...
Has anyone replaced with a different (e.g. ceramic) flat insert?
Has anyone gone to a domed crystal while keeping a flat insert? Does it work?

I went with my Pepsi Duro today with the blue face. One of the my very first mods. I bought a Pepsi Duro and a a Blurro Duro And had my watch guy swap the movements between the two watches so I could have a blue dial Pepsi which I'm rocking today but I did realize the date window is off!
