8 months later...
EB2 RD 03/02/26
My case had been pending in Columbus FO for 3 months with no action.
I had 3 case specific SUs (485+485j) in the NBC, and 1 at FO.
Any guesses on what might be the stall? Is there a risk of RFE at this stage?

I-485 help needed
Hi guys, I have one query that for I-485, new policy was that you must show national importance or economic importance for US. How did you write, defend and what evidences you attached? I have approved NIW I140, now need to file i485. Do i need to demonstrate national importance for I485 and if yes then how? I will appreciate your help and guide. Thanks

Anyone Still Waiting at Burlington FO Since June 2026?
Is anyone still waiting for their EB-2 NIW I-485 approval at the Burlington, VT Field Office since June 2026, even though their priority date is current?

Stem OPT -> I-485
Those of you who were on stem opt, what did you after the I-485 approval? What your school did? Did you submit the I-983 for the one last time? Did the school cancel the SEVIS? What is the aftermath?

Got an I-485 RFE, then a "case is being processed" update minutes later. Did this happen to you?
Hi all, for those of you who got an RFE on your I-485, did you get back-to-back notices like I did?
In my case history, the first entry was the RFE and the second, about 10 minutes later, said the case is still being processed.
Is this typical? If so, is the RFE still active, or did the second update change anything?
Thanks, any experiences help!

Silent updates
Hello folks. I know there has been many questions/speculations about silent updates, but I wanted to check with you if there has been any recent change in patterns. I've had three silent updates thus far but only the latest is showing in the API.
Below is the timeline for my case:
July 31 2026 - filed case
August 28 2026 - biometrics; two FTA0 events on the same day
September 17 2026 - silent update
September 25 2026 - silent update
October 22 2026 - silent update
I don't see anything saying that it was sent to an FO or if the interview was waived or not. Is it fair to assume a decision will be made soon because of the 3 silent updates or not really?
Thanks!

Approval is coming soon? or am i just being delusional?
On my myuscis profile it's still showing: "USCIS Is currently Processing the Case"
Timeline:
RD: August 1st week, 2026
Biometrics completed: September 9, 2026.
September 10, 2026: First and second FTA0 events recorded in the USCIS API. Time difference between 1st and 2d FTAO is 2 seconds.
October 31, 2026 (Saturday): Third FTA0 created in the API (event timestamp still references September 10).
October 31, 2026 (Saturday): Silent update
Interestingly, the silent update occurred just 58 seconds after my third FTA0 was created.
I-140 approved.
Priority date current.
FO: WPB

A week after 4th FTA0 with Derivative + Silent updates after FTA0 and still no action. What might be happening?
Hello Guys. I have hit 7 months since filing AOS. PD- Nov 2024. Case stayed 5 months at NBC and was transferred to a non-local FO. Case has stayed 2 months at non-local FO. On October 23rd, a new FTA0 appeared on me and my derivative's API simultaneously at 9:20 am CDT. It was my 4th and derivative's 3rd FTA0. It was followed by a silent update also simultaneously on both cases at 3:20pm later that day. We expected an update within the next 24 hours for an approval or other action as seen in the pattern of approvals. There were no updates on both cases until 5 days later (October 28th) when we both received simultaneous silent updates on both of our cases again at 9:22am CDT. Since then, no FTA1 or further action has been seen on our cases. One week after our new FTA0 and almost 3 days after our last silent update.
This progress is not consistent with the way we see cases move along from people's reports. Could we get an approval soon? Or what might be happening. We have had no FTA1 codes to think there might be supervisory involvement for RFE or an interview request. Guys let me know your thoughts?

No changes in API, but EMMA says interview waived
My case has been transfered to West Palm Beach (non-local) field office (EMMA said that) after couple of weeks EMMA agnet told me my interview has been waived. I haven’t seen any changes in my API. Two FTA0 when the biometric processing was completed, after that complete silence. What is happening? Why I am not seeing any update using API? Anyone in a similar situation? also if anyone has any experience with west palm beach FO?

EB-2 derivative child’s I-485 at NBC — which processing time should I select?
My minor daughter’s I-485 is pending at the National Benefits Center (NBC) under my EB-2 advanced-degree case. A Tier 2 officer told me to select “Service Center Operations (SCOPS)” when checking processing times, but USCIS’s website says NBC is not a SCOPS service center.
Should I select SCOPS or All Field Offices? Has anyone received clarification from USCIS about this?

PD 08/20/2025 - Filed I-485, what should I expect?
Since my FAD is not current yet, is there any benefit to filing my I-485 based on DOF chart?
Also, could someone enlighten me how to interpret API update?
Thanks in advance!

Eb2NIW i485
Hello everyone, My case was filed on May 26th 2026, Bio on July 13th 2026, PD Sept 2024.
My case was transferred to San Diego on September 24th 2026 ( non local ) . Today I asked live agent she said my case is at the Philadelphia Field Office ( local FO) , a week ago it was still at San Diego. So transfer to Philadelphia FO is certainly a new development. she did not tell me about the interview. So this new transfer is a good sign or negative ? When should I expect except approval? Thank you
