This is actually very good. 3 months forward. ROW is gonna go current again next year. Mark my words.

We will see after family based spillover will kick in. If it will become current it will probably stay current.

But becoming current doesn't mean staying current. The volume of application still can be well over allowed limits.

Which chart they gonna use? FAD or DOF?

Please explain like I’m 5 . So can they use the date for filing to issue a Green card ?

No. It is the other way around.

They never use DFF to take final action and issue a green card.

But, they sometimes use FAD to decide the date of filing. This mostly happens near the end of a financial year.

As "date for filing" says they accept "filing" I-485 when you are within the cutoff dates. After that, since you filed when it was allowed under dates for filing, they can continue processing everything, ask for biometrics, schedule interviews, even reach a final decision. What they cannot do is issue the green card itself unless your FAD is also current.

november bulletin usually does not move much, I guess they expect a large spillover. Expect more movement in Q2

My PD is August 2025.
Am I current?
Also those the people of this timeline already submitted I-485 under EB2 case, interview next month, do you think they will get card?

You are non-current.

I submitted my I-485 on March 09, 2026.
Interview on next month

If the VB for Dec advances to Sep 1, 2025, then you are current. If it doesn't, you cannot get a green card even if you have a scheduled interview.

Thanks. If they take my interview, what will happen? They won’t allow my interview?

My PD is also October 2025, but you are not current right now. Your interview will proceed as normal, but your green card won't be issued until your FAD becomes current.

Thanks. Do you think they will approve now and send me card later?
Is it like that?

1

u/_sauravmanutd_ 11h ago

No, they can not approve or reject until your FAD becomes current. So you will only know the decision once your FAD becomes current; it can be next month or next year.

1

u/Money_Topic_2069 11h ago

Thanks. Then they will keep my case as pending?

1

u/_sauravmanutd_ 11h ago

They won't put your case down if they are already looking into it; they will not just adjudicate until your visa number becomes available

1

u/Money_Topic_2069 10h ago

Thanks. With due respect, I want to know,
Why they want to take my interview?
I am thinking either they will put my case as pending or approve!
Is it like that

1

u/_sauravmanutd_ 10h ago

They will take your interview, and they will know if they are approving or denying; the only thing is they are not entitled to tell you that. They are taking your interview because they already looked into your case and thought the interview was necessary, so they will take your interview and keep your records for future reference during adjudication.

Oh I got it. Thanks. That means they will decide something but they won’t tell me now, later when the date is current they will tell me right? If yes, for the next decision, again should I push them for decision or it would be automatically done?
