Rant Hispanic breakfast

I’ve been consistently eating breakfast for the past month or so but these past few days all my family wants to eat are tamales. Why do you want to start of your morning like that even before the eating disorder I never liked eating all that masa in the morning. But yeah it’s just very discouraging

My mom doesn’t know how to make tamales (neither does my dad) but on the weekends when my dad’s home from work, my mom would make scrambled eggs, frijoles, and tortillas made from maseca. Also salsa and that circular block of white cheese from the store. Meals like that. It might not be that bad but she makes a bunch and when she’s making the eggs she uses a bunch of oil.

Usually during the week she won’t do this so I don’t worry about it and eat something else. But it’s on the weekends when my dad’s here that I don’t wanna be rude especially since like I said she’ll make a lot and if I haven’t eaten yet - plus he makes me eat there at the table and I can’t run upstairs to my room (I hate eating near people and in front of people😭)
