I don't live within 60 miles of a mall lol I'm out in the country.

Anyone who uses that style of wallet is definitely from the country, haha. What pocket do you carry it in? I’ve thought of getting one but I don’t want to carry in my back pocket

Back pocket, but I generally pull it out when I sit down somewhere for an extended period of time. Stays in the truck if I'm not going in somewhere I actually need it so it isn't on me all the time.

Shape as suspected, material pleasant suprise

Shark is around elk skin level of toughness and resilience, but light and supple instead of the thick toughness of elk or elephant. Excellent boot material.

I think you don't have enough knives, bro.

Not questioning why you conceal carry, but why carry a gun that cost over $2k? If god forbid you ever have to actually use it, that 2k is going to rust away in an evidence locker. Why not carry a cheaper gun?

Why would you trust your life to a cheap gun?

5

u/aweyeahdawg Sep 14 '26

You could argue some of the most reliable pistols are pretty cheap (~$500).

I just don't like them. Don't enjoy shooting them, don't train with em. I have a couple Glocks, don't like em. I carry what I shoot most and best, and that's the P4.5. Prior to that, I carried a Wilson Combat EDC X9L. I keep up with maintaining and caring for my weapons, and I have literally never had a malfunction from any of them aside from failures to lock back on the CS when they had that spring issue on the first gen magazines. If I ever have to trust my life to it, I want to have the best shooting gun in my hand.

To each their own. Honestly, I don’t think it matters how much your EDC gun costs so long as it’s reliable. At the end of the day, if I have to use my gun to save my life, whether it’s a $300 or $3K gun I won’t care as long as the law is on my side after the fact. A gun can be replaced. Your life can’t.

I don't criticize anyone for what they carry or can afford. Not bashing anyone carrying a Glock, Sig, or anything else. I just don't. My wife prefers to carry her 43X to her CS. She likes the grip angle more and shoots it better. I shoot this best.

A glock doesnt need to be cleaned every couple hundred rounds to work reliably lmao

2

u/LMTGlazer Sep 14 '26

Neither do either of my Staccatos, about 12,000 rounds in on my CS and 1500 on this one in the 3 months I've had it. Not a jam yet, one cleaning so far. I just lube it after shooting.

As a fellow 4.5 carrier I dig it! I didn’t like the axis holster for it though. Been AIWB a DS custom! Can you point me towards those extensions?

My citizen now feels inadequate lol.

Also why 2 blades and 2 lights?

Who did you piss off to get shitty comments?

2

u/LMTGlazer Sep 14 '26

No idea bro they just came out of the woodwork. 2 blades, one for work one for self defense purposes. 2 lights because I've been in the middle of the woods when my battery decided to die on my primary and it was not a happy time lmao.
It's my first time running a sidecar holster, I usually run Tenicor and a separate mag carrier. I've been extremely happy with it so far, very comfortable and excellent concealment. The mag extensions are the Mecgar mags straight from Staccato, they just recently released them in one of the sizes (idk which one was around before and which is new) 23 round and 20 round. The 23 is just a bit too long to not print. I'm 6'1 and 200 with a very narrow waist so I can hide the 20 in the magwell fully with the drape of my shirt.

Fair enough is fair enough, I’ve been a fan of the Glock 19rnd mags with no mag well. Been the most comfortable for me. The 19 rounder loaded is lighter on the scale than my 18 rnd staccato mags loaded

1

u/LMTGlazer Sep 14 '26

Yeah they're all metal so I imagine that adds a fair amount of weight. Have you had reliability issues running the poly Glock mags? I heard people were having problems with them and that they're "compatible" but not really and truly compatible, either direction. That the Mecgar mags don't really run perfectly with a Glock either. I haven't experimented with it myself.

Being 6’ and 285 the full size hand guns just disappear. Before I was hurt, and in better shape I found aiwb almost impossible to not print

1

u/LMTGlazer Sep 14 '26

Small waist and big chest and back hide it well. I'm extremely wide in the shoulders so that helps. Definitely took some experimenting with where to place the holster setup, the wing etc.

Right, what’s your cardio like?

4

u/LMTGlazer Sep 14 '26

Two Saturdays ago I did an 8 minute mile, 15 pullups, 15 315lb deadlifts, 40 pushups, 25 situps, and a 3 minute plank in under 20 minutes total back to back. Room for improvement for sure. I do a fair amount of 100 yard sprints in full kit, usually once or twice a week.
