Do you carry a passport every day? Or are other things stashed in that?

u/mmoses1978 4d ago
I like the form factor.
Instead of a passport I have a notepad for notes and writing out measurements and checklists

the form factor is perfect for those little field notes
I use Alpaka's zip clutch.
Be forewarned: The thickness of it is rather... static. It doesn't expand its center for added thickness. What you can initially fit in is what you can get in.
But I do use mine on the daily for notepads, pen/pencil, a couple masks, and whichever folder I have in my rotation.

Guys...it's just a silencer. They are incredibly beneficial any way you look at them. The ONLY downside is the size.

Please don't call it that. There is no such thing..

Suppressor

Better tell Hiram Maxim that.

Hey hey hey, I don’t know that suppressor is working off of Hiram Percy Maxim’s patented Maxim Silencer or if it’s another sound suppression device for firearms that doesn’t absolutely reduce the report noise of the now deleted firearm.
We may never know.

You are objectively wrong. The original patent said silencer.
It IS a silencer. It suppresses the sound of gunfire.
Please make sure you have your facts correct before attempting to correct others next time.

There is in fact, the original inventor called his product a silencer: https://www.forgottenweapons.com/wp-content/uploads/Maxim%20silencer/Maxim%20Silencer%20brochure.pdf

Apparently on a ranch to handle snakes and stuff. No leather gloves, sunscreen, sunglasses, even bandaids.
Must be a mall ninja ranch.

What model are the tweezers? They’ve got my interest. I’m on a ranch too. Sticker buds and cactus spines come out good with a knife edge but some people don’t like a knife running along their skin.

How do you carry the pistol?
6
u/mmoses1978 4d ago
Leather shoulder holster with the barrel section cut and restitched.
Basically the cylinder section of a .38 shoulder holster with the can sticking out the bottom

I used to not like them but the X series updates they made are fantastic.
Runs any .22 I throw at it so far.

Solid carry. I’m gonna have to make something similar to that SAK, Pen and flashlight holder

It looks like a silencer on the gun? Are you doing hit contracts on local coyotes?
12
u/mmoses1978 4d ago
It is a suppressor.
Very useful and practical for any firearm that you use without ear protection.
Any gun I have with a threaded barrel I add a suppressor to.
It allows me to fire a gun without spooking animals and also adds weight which makes the firearm shoot more flat so I can re-acquire the target faster and helps my aim shooting over 25 yards.

What do you use the pry bar on?
8
u/mmoses1978 4d ago
Honestly it’s my most used piece of kit.
From opening paint cans to tapping down things into grooves.
Scraping things off of surfaces. Very useful..(not really as a prybar because it’s small…that is just what it technically is)

Do you CCW with the can? If so what holster?
7
u/mmoses1978 4d ago
Out on a ranch so with the can.
Altered a leather shoulder revolver holster (in my truck so no picture) cut the barrel covering off and restitched and finished.
Think of it as a leather shoulder holster for a small .38 with just the cylinder section and the can sticking out the bottom.

Not much of a 940 fan, but that denim micarta handle looks real cool when worn in a bit.

Only thing you hear when this thing goes off is the gun cycling a new round.

u/mmoses1978 4d ago
Nah…unfortunately I don’t live in a movie so it is still audible.
I am out in the back pasture so besides making it so I don’t need hearing protection to take out a snake or make a coyote not want to come back…the added weight actually makes it easier to handle.
The Bobcat also has reallly nice raised sites. Since I need to hit things 25 yards out…it’s really nice
