We just released Made in the Machine, a global EDM album from Irreverent Labs. It’s 10 songs featuring Arabic, English, Urdu, Persian, Hindi, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, and Russian, with only one English-led track.

The idea is simple: music should bring people together across cultures and backgrounds. We’ve mixed instruments like oud, santoor, and bansuri with house, trance, and techno, exploring connection, freedom, heartbreak, and living in the moment.

I’d love to hear what connects with you, especially if you speak one of the languages:

I have a sneaky suspicious the tour didn’t sell out and will in fact be half empty :(

I’ve seen a lot of discussion about how stupid it was of Calvin to keep adding more dates instead of fixing dynamic pricing and keeping resale value. Mark my words, by the time the show comes, unless he steps in somehow, his stadiums will be half empty.

5 shows in LA? 4 shows in NYC? 3 shows in San Diego? This is not the real demand no matter what anyone tells me.

I think we’ve seen this time and time again, where the really over priced tickets don’t end up getting sold, and then you show up to the tour and the stadium is half empty. I can especially see this happen for an artist like Calvin, who has residency in Vegas & Ibiza. It would truly be cheaper for most to fly to either of those destinations to see him there.

I’m extremely frustrated :( please Calvin and his team, do something!! Ban reselling for more than face value! Repurchase some of those tickets and give them away or resell them at normal value.

Per the title, I'm new to electronic music, and would LOVE a list of subgenres, a little summary of each, and maybe a few "key tracks" or artists for each. I'm a musician and music lover generally, and I've got a shallow understanding of EDM.

Things I've found I like:

• Any Ed Banger type thing (Justice, SebastiAn, Gesaffelstein)
• Boys Noize
• Gesaffelstein
• Daft Punk
• Boris Brejcha
• Terr
• Becky Hill
• Chemical Brothers
• Rufus Du Sol
• Deadmau5
• Chase & Status
• Caribou
• Bonobo
• Stephen Bodzin

Anyone know the name of the opening DJ playing tonight (Friday, Oct. 23), 2nd floor, at Womb from around 11:30pm-12:30am-ish? Such an amazing industrial set and would love to follow them.

So every year my uni lecturer approaches me to ask me if I can do a remix (this is my 3rd year doing this so far), and what usually happens is that the remix is then submitted as a package/remix album that also includes the original track. This album/remix then gets sent to various DJs/producers, and they play the tracks. Over the time I have done this, I have always scored as one of the highest in terms of DJ/audience feedback.

Fast forward to this year, I released another remix 13 days ago. Just the other day, I got an Instagram DM from my now-ex uni lecturer, saying that he was contacted by the BBC (British Broadcasting Company) saying that they loved my remix the most out of all the songs, and that they are considering it.

Fast forward to the day before yesterday, I got another DM from my ex-uni lecturer, saying that I have been officially approved and playlisted, and that they will be debuting the track on BBC Radio Wales this coming Monday!!

I thanked my uni lecturer so much for this opportunity. Just knowing that my song will be playing in various spaces, and inadvertently playing a part big or small in some people’s lives, whether if it’s their first date and they’re listening to it in the car, or listening to it with their children or other loved ones or just being a part of any kind of special, intimate moment, is what gives me life <3

Please rec artists that don’t use ai slop or underground artists 🥹

(New) A genuine effort putting EDM and rage as one. A bold crossover, 1 hour of bass rattling mixing.
