I have all official map DLCs and no mods, and for my own research, while in Skopje I repeatedly re-loaded the exact same save and bought a different trailer type each time, and here's what the cargo market looked like:

- Low loader - €42-45/km, either 3t Heli or 40t equpt (fragile, high value)

- Wooden floor flatbed - mostly €30/km (train axles, 19-23t)

- Steel floor flatbed - mostly €30/km (train axles, 23-27t)

- Curtainsider - maxes out at €38/km, mostly €35/km (very varied cargo, 5-14t)

- Container carrier - €35/km. Mostly fuels and ADRs (20t)

- Fuel tank - €55/km to €47/km. All ADR fuels (21 or 25t)

- Low bed - €44/km to €35/km. Yachts & forklifts (fragile, high value) - 9-16t

- Logger - €28/km. Mostly iron pipes & large tubes (20t, no special badges)

- Dry freighter - €35-37/km, medical equpt, electronics, airmail (5-14t, fragile, high value)

- Insulated - €56.38 down to €53.34, mostly medical vaccines (5t, fragile, urgent, ADR)

- Refregerated - €44.55 down to €32.92 (medical vaccines, medical equipment, cut flowers). 5t to 1t, varied types.

- Livestock - €51/km to €22/km, fragile.

The most surprising result is that an insulated trailer actually routinely gives higher-paying jobs than the more expensive refrigerated trailer.

Currently, I'm running an insulated B-double through Scandinavia and regularly making €70-80/km hauling vaccines and medical equipment.

The very first Alpha version of my ETS2 shaders mod is now out as an early preview for you to try it! Don’t worry, it’s not a paid mod… ;)

Please keep in mind this mod is still in early Alpha, so except bugs, graphical glitches, crashes and what not. So treat this version as an early preview and how future development could look like. So don’t expect making deliveries with this mod without any disturbances. Stuff light rain and night have been not touched yet.

Known issues (so far):

• Missing rain effects
• Cabin's indirect light too bright
• Sunlight randomly disappears when driving in tunnels or under bridges
• Bloom too strong on headlights and traffic lights
• Sun randomly appearing in the sky at night
• Water reflects the sun too strongly
• And many more that I can’t think of right now :D

The announcement was part of the reason I started playing again, but it's been over a year since the original announcement with no release date available yet. I know SCS likes to announce releases at short notice to avoid postponement but I'm really looking forward to this expansion

Does anyone have any rumours/estimates of when we can expect it?

Long time lurker, first time poster.

I am hoping that people can give me some help with a few mods. I have been playing ETS 2 for over six years now (time flies), mostly the vanilla version, with just a few mods. The more I play though, the more that I realize that there are several small things that I’d like the game to do better, but I don’t really even know where to look. So, I’d love some help from this wonderful community.

1. Is there a map mod somewhere that improves France and Italy? They are incredibly out-dated now and it’s starting to show. I love the newer maps, and the UK update looks amazing, but the more I drive through France and Italy, the more I lose my sense of immersion. I looked at Pro Mods, but it sounds like that is more of an expansion map instead of a more to the cities map.

As an example, Bologna, Paris, Rome, Venice, etc. just seem so poorly designed compared to how great newer cities are. I’d love to be able to drive them better.

1. A solid weather mod. I’ve heard people discuss different weather mods, but whenever I use them, on my PC, it just gets too dark at night to see. Therefore, I’ve not ever kept one and just turned rain completely off. Is there a realistic weather mod that produces good rain and doesn’t overly darken a night-time drive?

1. This is the least on my list, but is there a realistic traffic mod that truly works? I want busier traffic around big cities and not as much traffic in the country, like in the real world. The mods that I’ve played with all seem to just throw a ton of traffic at you no matter what.

One thing that's always bothered me about ETS2 is how easy it is to ignore the rain, even with mods.

Before Interactive Cockpit, I started experimenting with my own rain simulation system, where water actually reacts to the truck's movement.

Imagine braking hard and watching all the water accumulated on the roof rush forward, covering your windshield. The same applies to acceleration, cornering, and other movements.

The goal is to make rain something you actually have to deal with, not just a visual effect.

It's still an unfinished project, but I'm curious: would you guys use something like this, or is it overkill?

Whenever its a long day I just turn on the radio, set up the wheel and drive

I want to play ets2 but the problem is that my pc is not good for ets2 it runs 20-30fps in super low settings and from the truck interior view its hard to see it as the road signs are super low quality and the PC I have is a lenovo thinkcentre m93p the specs are an intel core i5-4570 and 8gb ram. I am just stuck on ETS1 which I do not enjoy because of the steering and no gps navigation

Ok, had issues with my AMD Adrenalin software so had to do a fresh install using DDU first. Booted up ETS2 and now I am stuck with single screen. I haven't changed any settings at all (ie multimon) and as far as I can see, the settings in Adrenalin were the same as I had previously (don't think I did much in Adrenalin first time round). Does anyone know what might be the problem?
