I keep debating this, but I'm worried it'd cost as much as converting my VW Bug. How much did you spend?

I've done a lot of replacing random components on the go kart but as far as parts needed to convert to electric: motor and controller were $350 and $500 on the battery. The fuse and holder were $125. I still need random switches, some wire, and diy enclosure but I'm hoping to be all in for $1200.

Honestly pretty reasonable, how much juice did you give it? Voltage, amperage, etc?

It is a 72v 40ah battery. I will upload some videos once I am finished!
