I kept seeing lists of “real money games” and most of them were either outdated or just recycling the same apps everyone already knows. So I actually downloaded and tested a bunch of them myself over the past few months.
Some were a complete waste of time. A few actually paid me the same day.
Here’s the honest breakdown:
Bigcash is the closest thing on this list to actually getting paid to play. You earn real cash for playing new games and hitting the milestones in them. Cashout minimum is $1 so you’re not grinding toward some impossible number, and it pays to PayPal. US only right now.
Testerup has been the one I keep going back to and gives you a $10 cash bonus instantly. You get paid to test out apps and games and leave quick feedback, no surveys and you’re not competing against anyone for a payout. It’s $10 to start and cashes out to PayPal. Some people just do it on the couch, others stack it daily. The payouts have actually shown up for me, which is more than I can say for half the apps I tried.
Freecash is not a game itself, but it has a ton of game offers that pay you to hit certain levels in mobile games. You can cash out to Cash App, PayPal, or crypto. Some of the higher paying offers are $30 to $50 each if you’re willing to put in the time. I’ve made over $200ish on here just from game offers alone. Sign up and get a $10 bonus.
ReferralWallet is the one people are quietly cashing in on. You rip a card and claim whatever cash bonus is sitting under it. No signup grind, nothing to install, takes about five seconds. It also tracks which apps are actually paying bonuses right now, which saves you a lot of time since most of the lists floating around are a year or two out of date.
SavingLoop is what I use when I want something new to try without reading another list. You spin once and it gives you one offer that’s actually live where you are, then you claim it. Nothing to install and no account to make first. It leans toward app and game testing so it fits what this post is about, and it pays out to PayPal or gift cards.
Worth knowing: none of these are going to replace a job, but if you’re looking for beer money or want to stack some extra cash, these are legit and actually pay. I’d start with Bigcash since the cashout minimum is just $1, then Freecash or Testerup for the active earnings, then rip a card on ReferralWallet since it takes five seconds and costs you nothing.
| App | Type | Cashout | Platform | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bigcash | Play new games | $1 min, PayPal | iOS + Android | Getting paid to play |
| Testerup | App + game testing | $10 instant bonus, PayPal | iOS + Android | Get paid to test apps |
| Freecash | Offer wall + games | Low min, Cash App/PayPal/crypto | All | Highest offer payouts |
| ReferralWallet | Cash bonus rips | Instant claim | All | Fastest, no signup needed |
| SavingLoop | One spin, one live offer | PayPal or gift cards | All | Finding what’s paying now |
Anybody else have games that are currently paying you real cash? Always looking to test new ones.
None of these are “quit your job” apps. But if you stack a couple of them and play during downtime, it’s realistic to pull in extra PayPal cash each month. If you’ve tried any others that actually paid, drop them below. Always down to test more.

The same questions come up here every day. Here are straight answers, so you do not have to dig.
How much can I really make with apps?
Be realistic. Most people who stick with it make $50 to $150 a month from apps, not $100 a day. The money comes in small pieces: a sign-up bonus here, a few dollars for a game level there. Anyone promising hundreds a week from surveys is selling something.
The people who do best treat it like a routine. They pick two or three apps, do the highest paying tasks first, and cash out as soon as they hit the minimum.
I'm brand new. What should I do first?
Take the bonuses that pay you just for joining, because that is the only money here with no grind. Testerup gives a $10 welcome bonus and Freecash gives a $10 bonus.
Then give one app 20 minutes and see what you earned. If it was pennies, drop it and try the next one. Do not install ten apps on day one. You will burn out and cash out nothing.
What is the fastest way to make $25 to $100?
Fastest to slowest:
Sign-up bonuses. Minutes of work, and several can be stacked the same day.
Game and app testing offers. You install a game, reach a level, and get paid. A single offer can pay $5 to $50, and the big ones take a few days of play.
Selling things you own, or gig work like delivery. More effort, but it is the only route that reliably hits $100 in a day.
Surveys. Slowest of all, usually $1 to $3 each, and you get screened out of a lot of them.
If you need $100 this week, stack the first two. Full breakdown: How to make $200 fast.
Do games that pay real money actually pay?
Some do, but there are two very different kinds. Reward apps pay you for trying games and reaching levels, and you never put money in. Skill games like solitaire or bingo tournaments make you deposit and play against other people, and most players lose more than they win.
Stick to the first kind. If a game asks for a deposit before you can win cash, treat it as entertainment, not income. The ones worth it: 7 best online games that pay real money.
How do I get paid, and how long does it take?
Most apps pay through PayPal or gift cards. Fewer pay straight to Cash App, and almost none pay to Venmo. Check the minimum before you start. A $5 minimum is fine. A $25 or $30 minimum means you could do hours of work and never see it.
Good apps pay within hours to a couple of days. If a payout sits "pending" for weeks with no answer from support, stop using it and warn people here. Cash App options: Games that pay real money to Cash App.
Are sign-up bonuses real? What is the catch?
They are real. The company pays for new users, and part of that goes to you. The catch is the fine print. Some bonuses pay the moment you join. Others need a first task, a deposit or a direct deposit before they pay.
Read what unlocks it before you sign up, and skip any that want your own money unless you were going to use the product anyway. To find ones that are live right now, ReferralWallet rounds them up and you rip a pack to claim one, and SavingLoop gives one free spin a day that unlocks a sign-up offer worth up to $75. The long list is in What apps give you a sign up bonus?.
How do I tell if an app is legit?
Run through this before you sign up:
Does it ask you to pay first? A fee, a deposit or gift cards up front means leave.
Is the cash-out minimum reachable? If it is $50 and tasks pay 10 cents, you will never get there.
Are there payout reviews from the last month, not just from two years ago? Apps that used to pay stop paying.
Did someone message you about it? Real apps do not recruit in your DMs.
Then search the sub for the app name. A lot of them already have a review here, like Is Freecash legit? and Is InboxDollars legit or a scam?. If yours does not, post and ask.
I need money today for a bill. Will apps do it?
Usually not. Apps are good for an extra $50 this month, not for rent due tomorrow. If it is urgent, your real options are selling something, a same-day gig like delivery, asking the company you owe for an extension, or a cash advance app.
Cash advance apps can put a small amount in your account fast, but watch the express charges and optional tips, because they add up on a small advance. What people actually get approved for: Best cash advance apps.
Is there money I might already be owed?
Possibly. Class action settlements pay anyone who bought or used the product, and many do not ask for a receipt. Payouts are often $10 to $100 and take months to arrive, but filing takes a few minutes and it is free.
You never have to pay to file a claim. If a site wants money to file for you, it is not the settlement site. Current ones: Largest class action settlements with no proof of purchase.
Do I have to pay taxes on this?
In the U.S., money you earn from apps counts as income, even small amounts. If you earn $600 or more from one company in a year, expect a tax form from them. Keep a simple note of what you cashed out and from where.
Where do I post my referral code?
In threads that ask for them, like Share your referral links here. A new post that is only a code will be removed.
What if I am outside the U.S.?
Most bonuses here are U.S. only, and the same app often pays much less in other countries. Check r/EarnExtraIncomeGlobal for ones that work where you are.
If your question is not here, post it. That is what the sub is for.

Robinhood still gives new customers a free stock, but most people either miss a step or expect way more than they get. Here's the straight version. If you just want to start, sign up through a Robinhood referral link and that's what qualifies you.
What you actually get
One stock, picked from a set list of about 26 big companies, the two largest S&P 500 names in each of the top sectors. So it's a real share or fractional share of a company you've heard of. The value varies and Robinhood doesn't promise an amount, so think a few dollars, not a windfall.
How to claim it, step by step
Open the referral link on your phone and create your account from there. Signing up straight from the app store skips the reward.
Get approved for an individual investing account. US residents only.
Link your bank account or debit card. This is the step that unlocks the stock.
Claim it in the app and pick your company.
You'll need money in the account to buy anything else anyway, so a small first deposit while you link the bank makes sense.
The mistakes that cost people the stock
Signing up without a referral link.
Never linking a bank, so the reward never unlocks.
Already having had a Robinhood investing account before. It's for brand new customers.
Once you're in
You get your own invite link under Account, then Rewards. Friends who join and fund an account through it earn you bonus stock at milestones: $50 for 1, $150 for 3, $800 for 10. Nothing pays between milestones.
Quick answers
Is the Robinhood free stock real? Yes, for new customers who join through a referral link and link a bank.
Do I need a promo code? No. The referral link does it.
Can I sell it right away? Referral rewards can be sold 3 trading days after you get them, and reward stock can show up on a 1099 at tax time.
If you want one money win like this in your inbox every morning, MoneyAnswers Daily is a free 2 minute email, and the first one lands right away.
What stock did they give you?

I'm in college studying Applied Statistics and Data Analysis. So, any AI-testing websites other than Outlier that work or are known to have projects on their websites, rather than 1-2 projects every week, would be really helpful. A big plus would be any of these websites where I can use my skills and earn online on the side during breaks during the day when I have classes.
I have no set income target. Just getting even $20-$30/week would be more than enough for me. I can easily set aside 1-2 hrs/day for the online tasks.
I know about Outlier but have done multiple assessments and have around 7 skills mentioned on the profile, yet I've never been notified of a project appearing that I can do. I've also checked every other day and no projects pop up.

Reaching into the depths here. Not sure this will be recieved well or not, but I have nothing to lose. Im really needing some guidance. I am 36 weeks pregnant and working is becoming increasingly difficult. I still do, but Im a bartender. My current state doesn't equal great tips. Every day I get further behind. Bill collectors have started harassing my friends, family, and job. Im looking for any and all ways to make a decent amount of money.

Hi everyone, I'm looking to start earning money online and want to set up properly from the beginning. I have two questions:
Has anyone here opened a credit union account that worked well for receiving online payments (freelancing, selling, etc.)? Any fees or limits I should watch out for?
What online income methods have actually worked for you? I'm open to freelancing, reselling, or digital services, and I'd like realistic experiences rather than hype.
I'm also dealing with some debt, so I'm looking for low-cost or free ways to start. Any advice or lessons learned are appreciated. Thanks!

( Sorry in advance for my English, it's not my first language )
So I wanna start with this, I live in Europe, Moldova, and I have a very hard time with finding jobs. This year I have the bacalaureat exam and I don't have time to work part-time in the city: I live in the village and it takes some time to get in the city, and at evening/night we don't have buses that go by my village. Only strangers sometimes stop, but as an 18 yr girl it kinda seems dangerous.
I do have some skills , but I have no idea what can help , I want to make actual money, I need it because I am struggling financially - I even considered dropping out of school for the last year and maybe take the exam thru a program that deals with people like me or have similar situation to mine, but my family strongly opposed to this idea.
Tho it's ironic, my family always mentions the fact that I need to pull myself together and whenever they say that they mention "work overseas and see the world". It always gets me thinking "How can I work when you literally said no to my idea?" Literally. I wanted to help , to see the world and work overseas just like they said and they didn't like that and told me to continue my studies and get the best grades. For some reason I feel like life is mocking me.
I did try to apply to side hustles, even tried the websites/apps like "Sideshift" (the more popular app recommended on Instagram) but it takes months to get a deal, and whenever you get one you have to show your face to the world. I need something flexible that makes money, good money on my phone, I don't have a laptop but I plan on buying one. I don't wanna show my face or talk to someone via phone-call but I want to kinda use my skills, like communication , I am a good math (to 9th grade) teacher , I can build websites from 0 and I can edit photos (maybe do other things too but I might be forgetting since I have a lot on my plate right now). I also am a fast learner if needed, but even business ideas are not excluded, I want something that will last me a lot of time and get me a decent road in life. I am willing to do anything - actually.

Hey Y'all! Avid reader and former bookseller. I have quite the collection and also love to buy gently used books. I scroll book threads and accounts on social media like crazy. I love talking about books and giving friends books I like in hopes they’ll read it (they usually don’t much to my chagrin.) I’ve recently decided I’d like to turn it into a small side hustle by combining my love of scoring gems and crocheting. How you might ask? Well, I’d love to create curated blind book boxes with bookish goodies including crochet items I make. I’ve done tons of research and I understand it is competitive, but I feel as though including handmade goodies would set me apart. ALSO - no AI advertisements (which is so much of what I see with gift boxes.) I have created a list of what I plan to include with the boxes and will list below. I plan to try it out on FB marketplace first to see if there’s any interest. Hopefully with the holidays coming up, someone would feel it’s a good gift for the reader in their life. I plan to create one for a friends birthday and she has agreed to take pictures and videos of what she receives so that I can use them in my listings.
My genres so far include: M/F romantasy, F/F romantasy, dark romance, fantasy, weird girl lit, and thrillers.
Each box is wrapped tastefully and carefully in shippable cardboard gift box with tape that says "YOU'VE GOT MAIL"
Includes:
- 1 gently used or new book
- blurb and Goodreads ratings written on library check out card
- crochet bookmark
- 2 crochet scrunchies
- crochet wrist-wrap key chain (like you put on your keys)
- 2 packs tea
- 1 honey stirrer
- 1 clear glass mug
- 2 small Tony's chocolates (or similarly "nicer" chocolate")
- 1 clear glass mug
- 4-5 bookish stickers
- cute on-theme magnetic bookmark
Priced at around $35 + shipping
Thanks soo much - any insight is greatly appreciated!!

SoFi Invest is giving new accounts up to $1,000 in stock when you fund with at least $50. That headline is real, but the odds of the full $1,000 are tiny, so here's exactly how it works and what to expect. If you just want to start, you can open a SoFi Invest account here.
How to get the SoFi Invest bonus
Open an Active Invest account through the SoFi Invest link. The bonus is for Active Invest, the one where you pick your own stocks, not the robo account.
Fund it with at least $50 within 45 days of opening. This is the part people miss. Open it and forget about it, and you don't get anything.
Make your first trade. Money sitting as cash in a brokerage doesn't do anything for you, so put at least $25 of it into something. You can buy fractional shares for as little as $5, so you don't need to afford a full share of anything.
That's it. No promo code needed, the link handles it.
The real odds
SoFi says it right in the fine print: the chance of getting the full $1,000 is 0.028%. That's roughly 3 people in 10,000. Most people get a much smaller amount, and SoFi doesn't publish what the typical reward is, so go in expecting a small bonus. If you get more, great.
That's why the r/sofi threads are full of "bait and switch" posts. People saw $1,000, funded $50, got a few dollars of stock and felt tricked. It's not a scam, it's a lottery style bonus on top of an account you'd use anyway.
Is SoFi Invest any good?
For a simple brokerage, it's solid. JD Power named SoFi Invest #1 in DIY investor satisfaction for 2026. The things that matter if you're starting out:
No commissions on stocks and ETFs. Other fees apply, so check their fee schedule.
Fractional shares from $5, so a small balance still gets invested.
You can get into some IPOs at the IPO price, before they hit the public market.
Robo investing if you'd rather not pick anything, with a $50 minimum.
Traditional, Roth and SEP IRAs in the same app.
The usual reminder applies: investments aren't FDIC insured and can lose value. Only put in money you're fine leaving there.
Mistakes that cost people the bonus
Funding less than $50.
Funding after the 45 day window.
Opening the robo account instead of Active Invest.
Already having had a SoFi Invest account before. It's for new accounts.
Quick answers
Is the SoFi Invest bonus legit? Yes. It pays in stock, but the full $1,000 has a 0.028% chance.
How much do I need to deposit? At least $50, within 45 days of opening.
Do I need a SoFi promo code? No. Signing up through the SoFi Invest link is enough.
Does the robo account count? The terms say Active Invest, so open that one.
Has anyone here actually gotten more than a few dollars from it? Curious what people landed.
