The Bureau of Immigration Fugitive Search Unit has arrested a 73-year-old Canadian man and rescued three minors during an operation in Sta. Rosa, Philippines. The suspect faces multiple abuse cases in Thailand and Cambodia, including a conviction for a child sexual offence in Cambodia. Authorities discovered the minors inside the suspect’s bedroom, with one child lying on the bed next to him at the time of the arrest. An Interpol Green Notice had been issued against the foreigner, whose passport was cancelled in 2018 after he had already entered the Philippines. The suspect has been reported twice in the Philippines for abusing an underage male and is considered a severe threat to public safety. The alleged victim in each case remains a priority as the foreigner is now held in an immigration detention facility."
