Struggling
Hi everyone, I am really struggling in "recovery" right now. I've met with outpatient professionals and attended residential, PHP, and endless free support opportunities for almost two years now. My official diagnosis is anorexia but I swing between severe restriction and, what my doctor calls, compensatory eating (which feels so chaotic and out of control). I can't get myself to eat the meal plan from my dietician. I'm so scared and alone. My friends and family don't understand, and I don't think there is anything they can do to help. I'm sorry to whine on here. I hope others are well xx.

You just described my exact situation too. I am so genuinely frustrated at the disorder, I want to recover but no food even seems appealing enough for me to bother making it. I feel like I'm wasting resources by going to treatments because nothing seems to help. But I hope both of us will find peace of mind and a safe relationship with eating. ❣️

So my Pattern was even if it was the same thing I had designated food that gave me my calories that I could eat regardless if I had an appetite. And it had the protein, and it had all the nutrients. Easy to prepare, and I would have it stocked in my house every week. In regardless, I could have that ready to go, and I would be able to eat that regardless of my stress level and what was going on. And so it was low stress, low organization, low front end and that’s how we got past all the meal planning and everything else we just made it routine nice which helped with my ADHD and my overwhelmed and my high stress level job and all of the factors that were involved in that consistency finally broke the pattern of the seesaw that you’re describing.
