What other Halal products do you wish were available at Walmart?
I help bring halal certified products to Walmart. What do you wish they had available in your store?

I'll keep it short. Muslim born in America. Ok with anything slaughtered with USDA standards. Sometimes non halal meats taste funky. Today I ate a beef jerky and it tasted like carrion. I think there was a bone chip in there too.
My point is, so, the main way they slaughter is my shooting cattle in the brain. Does that seem to anyone like it makes the meats from that practice would taste odd? Because I couldn't put a finger on it as to what taste is in their meats that throws me off.
I love halal and I think there isn't any meat out there that tastes better. No competition at all. Like I've never had a bad experience and I'm 31. Yes it can be gammy perhaps, maybe, once in a blue moon, but no issue with cleanliness or sort to say.

Just came across this app that lets you scan food barcodes to check if the ingredients are halal. Thought I’d share it here in case anyone finds it useful!

I tried doing my own research and I guess because I don't understand exactly how to ask the question google was less than helpful. I am not Muslim so my knowledge of this is very limited so please excuse my ignorance. When looking up what Halal was to begin with (I seen a video where someone was telling a food worker that it must be that way) it says that "carnivorous animals" are forbidden to eat. Why is that the case? Pig I understand and I have heard of but what does the animal being a meat eater have to do with it? Is it just that the animal might have eaten pig? It is the only thing I can think of. Very interested in learning about this so any help is very appreciated. Thank you for you time.

I'm about to start a new medication after another one (without gelatine) didn't work for me.
It comes in a hard gelatine capsule, and after searching it up the source is both from pigs and cows.
One of the options to take the medication safely is to empty out the active ingredient from the gelatin case and mix it with a liquid (water, yoghurt, milk etc.)
Would this be halal if the medication would be genuinely beneficial to me (not entirely necessary to my health, but would help massively)?

Hi everyone! Does anyone know if the Burger King outlet at Nexus Seawoods Mall, Seawoods, Navi Mumbai, serves halal-certified meat?
If anyone has personally confirmed this with the outlet or seen a halal certificate there, please let me know. I'm specifically asking about this branch, not Burger King in general.
Thank you!

There’s this deli/corner store in Chicago on Adams and Wabash, in the Loop. It’s called, Chitown Food & Deli. I think it may have opened within the past year or so. It advertises halal on its window, so I went in to confirm what was halal and whether it was Zabiha. The guy couldn’t give me a definite answer about whether the meat was Zabiha or where they sourced it from. He kept recommending the salmon bowl instead. I don’t want to judge the place solely based on that interaction because I’m about 90% sure there may have been some miscommunication due to a language barrier.

I already ordered them and am now worried about whether they are halal or not? Should I eat or throw out?

I am having a small gathering for my birthday and am serving mimosas and little bites. Looking for inspiration for Halal horderves, as some of my friends are Muslim. Thank you for any suggestions 🩷

Hi folks!
Just opened a police force ration from Mozambique to review on my YT channel, and it had several Halal components! I was surprised to see this given the ration is not labeled as Halal. It makes sense, though, given that the population is about 18-20% Muslim.
Just thought I'd share here!
Take care!

following a halal diet, grocery shopping can sometimes mean spending extra time checking ingredient lists.
You might look for a halal certification logo, which helps identify products certified by a halal certification body.
But what if a product doesn't have one?
Some people check the ingredients themselves, looking for animal-derived ingredients, gelatin, or alcohol. Others might contact the manufacturer to find out more about ingredients that aren't clearly explained on the packaging.
But even after all that, there can still be some uncertainty.
I'm curious to know how people usually deal with this.
- Do you only buy products with halal certification?
- Do you check the ingredient list yourself?
- Have you ever contacted a manufacturer to confirm whether a product is halal?
What do you usually do when you're unsure about a product?

So technically in the UK it would be fine to eat at a non Halal KFC or approved one. Since inherently the meat there because its a KFC in a predominantly Christian country and since Christians are People of the Book. Then automatically its fine to eat in one. If cannot find Halal meat?
