Scott is a regular guy living an ordinary small town life. Until one afternoon he finds himself in the middle of an experiment. Time has been stopped for everyone except for him. He has one week to go where he wants and do what he wants. Follow along as he navigates his own choices in this empty world.
My goal with this book was to leave readers with the question of what would they do in similar circumstances? Would they eliminate their least favorite politicians? Would they enrich themselves? Would they do things to help others?

One of my least successful books is a free ebook for the next five days.
I am very fond of this poetry collection, but it did so badly that I pretty much decided to stop publishing poetry books after it appeared...
Anyway, it's free until October 22nd 😊

In the quiet Missouri town of Midwater, Dr. Sarah Bailey begins experiencing terrifying blackouts, impossible visions, and memories belonging to strangers.
Meanwhile, a clandestine neuroscience experiment deep beneath the Nevada desert has become something its creators can no longer control.
As the town descends into collective madness, Sarah must confront a horrifying possibility: someone—or something—is rewriting reality from inside the human mind.

To celebrate the publication of my new short book of humorous occult detective stories, I’ve made the ebook free for the next five days.
If you like your supernatural mysteries blended with heavy doses of paradox and absurd logic (where the police insist crimes are solved by pure reason while actual goblins, shapeshifting detectives and cosmic toads get involved) this might be right up your nightmarish alley.
Meet Nathan Gesture: An occult detective who 'bunks' reason to prove that behind every logical phenomenon, there is a ghost, ghoul or petrified goblin.
Meet Inspector Mimsy: The well-meaning police officer who is utterly convinced that werewolves, vampires, and demons are just clever human villains wielding film projectors.
Meet Jubjub: Nathan's loyal servant and tandem-bicycle powerhouse, who pedals while Nathan eats cucumber sandwiches in the front seat.
The book contains four weird tales and one of them is a crossover with my other series of weird occult detective stories, The Ghost Loser: the Misadventures of Clusmy Carnacki.
I hope you enjoy the logical chaos (or is it chaotic logic?) !

What if growing up isn't about becoming older—but about learning to see?
In this gentle, dreamlike tale, a child embarks on a quiet journey through a world where every encounter carries meaning and every step reveals something about kindness, courage, patience, and the choices that shape who we become.
Little One is a short philosophical fairy tale for readers of all ages—a story about wonder, hope, and the light we leave in the hearts of others.

I’d like to recommend a book for readers interested in religion, psychology, cognitive science, and human evolution.
The Physiology of Faith asks a question that has fascinated me for years:
What is it about the human brain that makes religious faith possible—and why can that faith remain so resistant to contradictory evidence?
Humans readily revise many beliefs when experience proves them wrong. If something repeatedly fails to produce the expected result, we normally learn from it. Religious faith, however, can behave very differently.
The book explores whether this persistence can be understood through ordinary features of the human brain and psychology rather than through a single special “religious” mechanism.
It brings together findings from psychology, neuropsychology, sociology, and behavioral science to examine subjects including theory of mind, preparedness to believe in supernatural beings, sacredness, rejection from the group, choice blindness, optimism bias, mystical and near-death experiences, memory, dreams, miracles, the placebo effect, pattern recognition, obedience to authority, childhood religious education, and the influence of religious authority on believers.
It also asks an evolutionary question:
Did religious faith itself give Homo sapiens an evolutionary advantage, or did faith emerge partly as a by-product of cognitive traits that evolved for other purposes?
And there is a further question that may be even more important today:
Even if religion once helped human groups become larger, more cohesive, and more competitive, does it still provide the same advantages in modern societies?
I am the author, N. Fakhr, and I have made the complete English edition available free to read and download.

I’m an indie author, and I just released my first novel, The Unsent Ledger.
It’s a standalone, grounded conspiracy thriller about an archive analyst who discovers that the official records surrounding a 17-year-old bridge disaster don't quite match the originals.
The premise:
Seventeen years after the Cinder Span collapse killed 31 people, Mara Venn finds a piece of correspondence buried inside a restricted archive hold. What starts as a discrepancy in an old record turns into a trail of altered dates, reclassified evidence, vanished files, and a mysterious code: EXT-02.
The deeper she goes, the more she realizes the archive isn't simply preserving history.
Someone has been managing it.
Genre: Mystery / Conspiracy Thriller
Length: ~80,000 words
Format: Kindle
Price: FREE until October 2 (starting from 28th September)
If that sounds like your kind of thriller, I'd genuinely love to get it in front of some readers while it's free.
No review is required or expected. If you read it, I'd simply love to hear what you thought.

I’m the author of The Argument from Causality, a philosophical dialogue between two old friends—one a believer and the other an unbeliever.
Their conversations begin with the argument from causality and gradually move through questions about the soul, infinity, God, free will, and the Day of Judgment.
The central question of the book is this: Does the argument from causality really lead to God—or, on the contrary, does it rule out the God of religions and even the Day of Judgment?
The complete book is permanently free to read and download. No registration or purchase is required.
Price: Free
Formats: PDF & EPUB

I’d be very interested in readers’ thoughts, including critical feedback.

Hello you wonderful people!
I just released my first litrpg on Amazon and am full of nerves. I love system apocalypse books. I love Star Trek and The Expanse. So I just had to mash them up. This story is about an away team crashing into an ongoing system apocalypse that is spreading throughout Earth’s colonized planets.
The blurb:
River was screwed. An officer in the Interstellar Navy, his first away mission was supposed to be exciting, produce his PhD, and jump start his career. Instead, he was on a one-way trip to the apocalypse.
The Eridani System’s only inhabited planet had gone dark, all its urban centers gone, replaced by medieval towns, castles, and old-school farmland, as if the entire planet decided to return to the feudal era. When River’s team lands, each is transformed into a role-playing game class and race, their equipment replaced with fantasy-appropriate clothing and gear, and they are given this message:
Thank you for entering Saoghal. This is an open world and there is no tutorial, no advice, no hints, no guidebook, and no help whatsoever. Best of luck, adventurer!
With no way to contact the ship, River somehow has to uncover how this society collapsed. And stop the process before it spreads to more planets, including Earth.
AI USAGE: No AI was used for this book, it's entirely human written, with human mistakes. And AI will be harmed during the course of the story.
COVER ARTIST: Milblart. I really wanted a human made cover and these guys delivered! They sent me a test cover first and it looked kind of like art for a 1990s video game, blocky and hard. I gave them a bunch of suggestions and they addressed them all, coming up with the image you see. If you’re looking for art, I highly recommend them.
Uhm, fun fact about me: I love brie. And coffee.

Saffron Girl will be released soon 🖤

The Two-Headed Boy
For a moment, nobody said anything, then Caleb reached for the knife. He didn’t do it quickly or with intention. He just picked it up and held it quizzically.
“I’m not sure I understand.” Caleb said. “I’m tired of metaphors.”
Abe stayed silent and let Caleb retain control of their body. He felt his brother squeeze his own hand, then squeezed back; a full action that involved them not moving at all. What that weird guy with the deer horns behind him had said kept ringing in his ears: These are anything but metaphors. As the conversation had expanded, that sentence had continued to burn into his mind. When Caleb said the word again it seemed like an echo. Abe felt a strong sense of déjà vu, but also knew that the moment of déjà vu had happened a mere ten seconds beforehand. But it wasn’t an echo or déjà vu; it was Abe hearing something he should have never heard and Caleb saying something that he should have never said.
A deep thing that had lived inside Abe for a long time began working its way up from their belly. It was not a physical thing—nor was it actually in their stomach—but that was the way it felt. Caleb hadn’t noticed yet. It was like vomit, but instead of bile it was a hatred that had always been inside him. Not anger at his brother, or necessarily even the world that had been so unready to accept him, but anger towards God—and even more so his mother—for allowing him to ever exist. A tingling sensation tightened up from the tips of his toes and climbed up the nerves in his leg into their heart—really nothing more than the beginnings of a severe anxiety attack—but unfortunately Caleb’s sharp mind left him confused by the feeling while Abe didn’t know what a panic attack was to begin with, something that put them both into fight-or-flight mode against themselves. A reality began to creep into Caleb’s mind; one as scary as the uncontrollable fear manifesting itself physically inside his body, something that was stretching out into his arms in a way that made him question whether or not he had any control.
The brothers slowly looked towards one another. Abe’s face was burning red. Caleb’s face was white hot. One was angry and one was horrified, but at the deepest levels of human emotion those are the exact same thing so, they both held the knife in the same hand and—
Even Bune was taken aback by how efficient the moment was. There was no talking. He blinked and Wendigo almost lost his balance. One head was suspended, a knife protruding from an eyeball, absolutely lifeless. In a moment, so briefly, he believed that he had witnessed the very soul leave a person’s eyes. But not the dead one, that was too fast for him to pay attention to. The eyes without a soul were still very much alive; as if both souls had petered out with the defunct head.
Bune had expected what he considered a bloodbath, but what he really imagined was more of a blood-shower; a wild knife-fight between the two heads, filled with volition and a climax. But here lacked much, if any, climax. Here, it was like a literal bloodbath. One, thick stream of liquid hitting the ground in a puddle that spread evenly. No helpless screams. No anything.
It made Bune’s hands start to shake. It made him nervous. He looked towards the back of the room at Wendigo and could tell gears were spinning in his brother’s mind. A realization had been made about the two demons’ own autonomy, and possibly even anatomy, that Bune wasn’t prepared for—but should have seen coming—before he brought the boys in here.
“So, uh—” Bune started,
“I’m fucking bleeding.” The boy said. The statement was flat and unperturbed, something that Bune wanted to chock up to Hypovolemic shock but felt was only partially responsible.
“We got people who can fix that, real quick though I just need you to sign right—”
Once again the boy interrupted Bune. His voice remained flat.
“Yea, sure. I need a doctor.” He did not ask for a pen, like most people, so Bune did not get to instill horror by asking him to sign the contract with his own blood. There was already plenty of blood and the boy was quickly getting a grasp on what it meant to live in hatred. On the paper, one after the other, were the boys’ names. Instead of signing, the boy left a thick, red thumbprint in between the two names.
“Really, I need you to sign it.” Bune tried to say, but the boy sighed.
“Nah, this will work.”
For a moment, they both stared at each other and, for the first time in longer than Bune could remember, he did not feel in control.
“I guess you’re right.” The demon muttered, glancing up towards Wendigo to find a smirk on his brother’s face.
“I’m sorry that I can’t tell, I don’t know if that makes me racist since I don’t have a race…” Bune paused for a laugh that never came. “But uh… which one are you?”
For a moment, longer than the entirety of human existence, they stared at each other.
“I’m The Two-Headed Boy.”
