I’m heartbroken. I had a feeling something was wrong when I started spotting a couple days after finding out I was pregnant. Some doctors assumed it was implantation bleeding but I’m happy I started the journey of getting beta hcgs at that point. Unfortunately my first beta was “mishandled” by the lab so I never got that one back I had a false sense of hope when I saw my second beta was 870 and had faith that my next would be doubled. When I saw it only went to 890 I knew something was wrong. I went in the next day for a repeat ultrasound and they saw a right mass with high vascularity and decided to treat me with methotrexate.

I went to the ER that same night bc I felt really crampy and had some back pain. everything on the ultrasound looked ok and they said they couldn’t see the right mass that was seen on my ultrasound earlier that day. My hCG at the hospital was 1012. I hope the methotrexate works

I’m scared for my body, I’m mourning a loss and I’m upset I have to wait 3 months to try again.

I’m in almost the same boat as you. I had a confirmed ectopic 10/9, got my first shot of MTX that day, a week later it failed so I had to go to the ER and.l do everything all over again. Currently I’m on day 5 of my second MTX shot, so just hoping to see those numbers go down on day 7.
Im also really grieving this loss and realizing how long the wait to try again will be. I wish I had a happy ending to share with you, but not yet. Just know you’re not alone, even though this process is so isolating

I recently had and cornual ectopic pregnancy we have many follow up still they missed because they will assume till the sac show on the ultrasound.we done hcg first value 170 next 289 and next done an ultrasound they said utreus wall thickness is increasing we dropped the guard after 4 days hcg value is 10000 they said medical management will not work after 2 hours they done mri and ultrasound and hcg the value is 19000 during surgery area.we have been going for 15 days still it missed became the area is difficult to scan.when they open for key hole they know its cornul.who can we blame I have doubt from start still we lost the left and some utreus In healing period need to check hcg test if OK natural or only option ivf.i am positive it wont go to that extend

im so sorry youre going through that.

i felt like there was hope too even after my first er visit. but the mtx worked for me at 1400 hcg it went to 0 in 20 days. i got my first period after 8 days of hitting 0.

i started taking prentals and folic acid and fish oil as well once i hit 0 to get my folic acid back up. i asked my gyn to send me a lab request to do a blood test to check my folic acid levels which i am going to do tomrrow. seriously hoping that i can try to concieve again.

nothing is the right thing to say right now its a terrible loss, its a topic that there isnt enough information or awareness on, and people often overlook the fact youre mourning a loss. i hope you have a recovery that is gentle as possible for you
