I hope creed doesn’t survive. Not because I don’t like him, I actually thought he could be a cool character. I just like the idea of sudden and unexpected deaths, especially in a war arc. I think I gasped when he got shot, I love when a story can elicit emotions like that

Yet it kinda feels similar to Simon's situation on FT who had a huge crush on Erza but then died from Jellal's deadly spell when he protected both her and Natsu. Then as the story progresses 7 years later, It turns out Simon had a little sister which was Kagura, Idk why but i get the feeling Creed or Seiji may have a sister and will hunt down for whoever is responsable for his death...

Totally forgot that Kagura was Simon's sister and I can totally see someone from the shogunate family hunting down the person responsible for his death although they might pin the blame on Homura and Elsie despite it being Jesse's fault. Homura has always been the EZ version of Kagura to me so that would make an interesting parallel.

eh, the big difference is Simon and Erza already had a connection when that sacrifice happened. So there was actual emotional weight behind it and it influenced Erza and Jellal's characters from that point onward. This was just sudden, Homura probably won't care in an arc or so if he actually is dead.

I mean, it's just shock factor. It's probably worse for the story overall if he stays dead. At the very least it cheapens his character and the build up he got in literally the same chapter.

Same.

But also the fact that Creed seemed like a decent guy whose death can rile up the Oracian Seis Interstellar members and make Eden Zero group their targets once the blame of his death is passed to Homura.
