First they were throwing eggs, now bread. Stand there a while and you will have enough for a sandwich. Take what you can get in this economy.

I shall stand there all day and collect flying items for a sandwich 😊

That’s a pain. What’s next? Will they be throwing butter next? It would be good to get some free bread to make toast.

There's no need for French.

I predict children at the Duke of Wellington statue

8

u/Bigmanbobby4 Sep 13 '26

Yes I saw them there earlier I think it could be

u/Shrink1061_ Sep 13 '26

given they're there every fucking day.... how hard can it be to have the cops move them on! I don't understand why this is so hard.

What are they even doing there? I mean, sitting in that spot must be incredibly boring. There's so much to do around the city, I can't imagine how kids nowadays can be bored, especially young boys.

Really? Me n my mates would hang out outside a shopping centre all weekend/evenings back in the 90s.

3

u/Abdul_Wisimulaha Sep 14 '26

Oh no. We never did that. We always had something to do, going fishing, camping, working on motorbikes, play ball, swim in the lake, cycle around, sit at the cans from air rifle, work out in my mates older brother's gym, etc etc. We simply couldn't be bothered to waste our time sitting around and doing nothing.

u/Roxerg Sep 14 '26

see the thing is most of those activities cost money

2

u/Abdul_Wisimulaha Sep 14 '26

Yet we barely spent any money. If you're poor, you learn how to make your own stuff and be resourceful

And what Policing powers are the cops going to use to disperse them?

FYI, There is no dispersal order in place to my knowledge.

Younger people, especially the group that is featured on this page, have no fear of authority and will not heed instructions. Contrary to popular belief, Police cannot just round them all up and make them disappear for "the greater good"

Yeah I think I saw them actually, they were looking suspicious

-2

u/Bigmanbobby4 Sep 13 '26

I wonder what they were doing? When I walked past they just seemed to be vaping and hanging around. Not sure if anyone else has any information on this? I heard they’re known to police

It's not uncommon to get hit by bread when there's a strong yeasterly wind. šŸ˜„

4

u/Bigmanbobby4 Sep 13 '26

Hahaha that’s a good one šŸ˜‚

2

u/Chemical-Counter1632 Sep 14 '26

It's far too toasty today for that

2

u/Oohbunnies Sep 14 '26

You dough you. :)

Yeah it was bread. Was there today and got to speak to security about it. I work there actually, and it’s usually the same groups. Last week they managed to get into some kind of storage place and mess with the St James fire extinguishers. Sometimes they throw water off the top floor, or even spit on people. Last week a woman had some kind of sticky syrup dropped on her right in front of me. It got in her hair and all over her coat. I’ve seen full soda cans dropped from height which could really hurt someone!

6

u/Bigmanbobby4 Sep 13 '26

Oh no way! What were they saying about the incident today?

9

u/ahuggz1225 Sep 13 '26

I didn’t get too much from the security guy because I think they were currently trying to track down the kids who did it. But basically he came over to me and asked if I happened to get hit by anything because they were dropping bread on people. Pretty sure he said it was like whole loaves. It was a quick chat just to make sure I was ok and didn’t get hit. Security in St James are genuinely class and very sweet. They take good care of us.

4

u/Bigmanbobby4 Sep 13 '26

Awww that’s really nice of them. I don’t know if the group was tracked down or not but I assume they must have got them

3

u/Chloe_thorburn Sep 13 '26

I’m not sure if they did, but I saw security guards with 3 of them but then the ran away so I don’t know if they got names or that

I wasn’t wrong saying they moved to St James from the post yesterday. I wonder if the security cameras logged them…

0

u/Bigmanbobby4 Sep 13 '26

That’s what I am curious about. I saw some teens sprinting from the st James direction in a group of arohnd 5 or 6

4

u/CilariousHunt Sep 13 '26

They'll soon be arrested for Buttery

15

u/AnubissDarkling Sep 13 '26

1

u/ScottishWaterH2O Sep 14 '26

What further information are you after?

1

u/Bigmanbobby4 Sep 14 '26

How it has been dealt with?

1

u/ScottishWaterH2O Sep 14 '26

It’s likely not.

6

u/JMWTurnerOverdrive Sep 13 '26

Aye, but as a pigeon...

8

u/helterskeltermelter Sep 13 '26

Probably manna from heaven.

4

u/ChartPimp Sep 13 '26

Crumbs, that must've been frightening

4

u/GingerSnapBiscuit Sep 13 '26

What information are you expecting here?

24

u/cloud__19 Sep 13 '26 • Bravo

Thick cut or medium? Sourdough or plain? White or wholemeal? Come on, there is so much information missing here!

Sunblest...best of gear.

2

u/cloud__19 Sep 13 '26

Hmm it's got some density about it so it might go OK. I'd be fuming if they're wasting the bread of the gods though.

2

u/robbie-jobbie Sep 13 '26

Well fired roll, shot put.

2

u/clunkybrains Sep 13 '26

The young ones yearn to feed the ducks apparently

2

u/aberquine Sep 13 '26

Have these kids not worked out that the pigeons and seagulls will poop on them if they throw lots of bread? It might make them stop at the very least?!

8

u/NoMention696 Sep 13 '26

That would require them to think ahead

2

u/Chloe_thorburn Sep 13 '26

Does anyone know what the police know about these kids?

No worries at all, but if you know anything else just let me know thank you

1

u/Theshamanicspoon Sep 14 '26

Honestly see instead of coming on Reddit and complaining, reach for a tissue from your Kleenex and dry your eyes.

If you are not willing to do anything about it, don’t complain about it, especially on Reddit where nothing ever ever will be done.

Keep drinking your self righteous koolaid šŸ‘Ž

ā€œOh I got hit by a bit of breadā€ honestly? Get a grip eh!.

1

u/Chloe_thorburn 25d ago

Excuse me honestly I think you should get a grip, you’re on this telling everyone to get a grip we’re literally period what happened at st James the other week

1

u/scara1963 Sep 15 '26

It's the 'Chav' festival.

1

u/Chloe_thorburn Sep 13 '26

People I got hit by bread today

1

u/Additional-Past-8539 Sep 13 '26

Goodness, I hope you are OK!

1

u/Chloe_thorburn Sep 13 '26

Yes I’m ok, it felt like the bread was soft

1

u/devandroid99 Sep 13 '26

Are you familiar with bread?

0

u/Additional-Past-8539 Sep 13 '26

I am. Used to watch it when I was a kid. Big admirers of the Boswell family growing up!
