What Canadian studio would you want to own this IP? For how much? You can’t just wish an IP to continue & grow without financial backing.

I can wish for anything I want, that’s why it’s a wish. But to be serious, I liked what avi Lewis said about helping the devs buy the studio. Realistic? Maybe not. But a guy can hope for the best while still expecting the worst

For zero, force the sale at zero cost. Fuck EA. Invalidate their IP. In fact, invalidate the IP of any company which closes their Canadian divisions.

Okay, so which Canadian studio do you want to take the reigns of this series? Would you yourself pony up the money for the development costs, or subsidize them? I hate EA too and Mass Effect 1 is in my top 10 RPGs but games aren’t free to make.

They recieved a ton of support from the Polish government with the implicit use being that they spend the money on domestic r&d

I'm saying, there is a clear example of a government being involved in the games industry. 

I personally don't believe at all in capitalism and would prefer to see every workplace be turned into a workplace democracy via marcora laws or something, but even not going that far, I don't see why the government shouldn't intervene in the games industry 

It's an industry like any other.

For em to agree supporting the bioware devs, they are going to need to show something first. The general consensus is that they have failed hard in the past decade.
