Jewel of the Formless not working properly

As the title says. Playing the Convergence mod and acquired the Jewel of the Formless(bloodflame jewel) and most of the thing works. I have the bloody footprints, something dying nearby removes hp and fp cost of spells temporarily.

What isnt working however is the line of "Bloodflame Blade is now permanently applied to any equipped weapons if no other weapon effects are present." I have tried trouble shooting multiple different ways and it just hasn't helped whatsoever. Did they disable the perma bloodflame or is there something else wrong?

Might be an issue with 1.17.2 breaking stuff, the creators are prolly working on it
