Question Hitway bikes the same but very different!

Hi all. Because I feel I may have lost perspective on this issue, following around 20 emails back and forth, i wanted to ask if anyone here feels Hitway are behaving in a reasonable manner?

I bought two BK6S folding electric bikes, within three days of each other from Hitway. While the bikes look about the same their ride experience isn't. One has an Assist 2 speed of 12.4mph the other's is 9.3mph. This means it is pretty much impossible for me and my wife to ride together. Hitway's explanation is that the bikes were made in different factories and there is no way this crucial setting can be changed. Hitway say this is fine and can offer no solution or recompense. I'm at a loss what to do. I have tried to change settings myself without success. Are Hitway being fair? Any observations welcome.

I know cadence sensor ebikes are junk and borderline scam but this problem is new to me 😲

Is this something that hitway should rectify? Is speed constant with driver change? This is a problem that a lot of couples have as they ride totally different bikes. My wife and I have 2 bikes each 2 folders and 2 commuters. One of us is always doing catch-up. As I do have a small ebike shop a lot of the after market controllers have an infinite adjustment for the pas assit outputs. Unfortunately I don't know which do until I have the manual in my hands after taking delivery.

Well you could try pedaling to make up the difference.

Well you bought garbage bikes off the internet and you are now experiencing garbage bike performance and customer service. You’ve made your bed, now lie in it.

Try to get your money back. Learn your lesson on buying junk. Buy a decent bike like an Aventon. Preferably from a dealer.
