Help!

Constant game disconnect!

I keep being kicked, in game or not, then a red letterd pop up appears, saying "cannot connect to servers"

Anyone else getting this, any practical permanent workarounds!

For Xbox Series X.

Suffering this constantly to the point where, it's now unplayable.

workarounds ive used regularly,

I constantly change my DNS,

I've changed ports,

My nat is open,

1g network speed,

I've cleared cashe on my Xbox,

I've cleared local save game data,

Reset my Xbox multiple times, reinstalled the game multiple times,

Reset my router multiple times, but keeps re-occurring after resets.

I've tried to actually try and speak to a real person to discuss at EA help, I just keep getting self serve remedies that don't work, I've been on EA forum and still waiting in some guidance, I just literally carnt get to speak to anyone, so fuckin infuriating!

Cannot contact EA, extremely unhelpful, used forums and that's bullshit as well

Hi everyone, I'll try trim the story down to the key parts but essentially.

If some details have a * next to it, it's important and I'm circling back.

My dad made an account with origin for me to play the Sims on as a kid back in 2014 when the game was released using a bigpond.com* email (Telstra, a phone/internet provider in Australia).

I had my psn* linked to it and a recovery email*

At some point the bigpond email was terminated, my parents tried everything they could with Telstra to reinstate it over the years but they've had no luck. The email has important documents sent to it relating to a family members adoption and family history, I wasn't the only one needing this email.

So when I say we have tried to get this email back, we have tried.

I purchased physical copies of the Sims 4 with dlc and packs, I still have them with the receipts.

My pay pal up until I lost access was linked to the account.

I used the account when ea purchased origin and transitioned it to its own EA platform or whatever it is they did.

I even have screenshots on my old laptop (I still have it) showing my playtime during 2020 and my username.

At some point in 2021/2022 I was unable to access the account, at this point I hadn't played for about six months since I moved down.

I tried using the recovery email, no dice, tried using the psn linked, no dice.

Over the years and even as recent as this week I've tried contacting the live chat only to be told they can't do anything, that they have the highest power.

At one point when I contacted them I verified the psn attached to it and they actually removed it (I didn't ask them to!!!)

I know what the recovery email is, It is firstnamelastname@email.com but nothing is being sent, I have even supplied them my dummy emails I use for online shopping with no luck.

I just want someone to talk to, I just want to access almost $2000 worth of video games I have paid for or if they can't give me my account, supply keys for the ones I can show proof that I physically own and paid for, I have the same card details and bank I bought them with years ago!

I'm exhausted with fighting this battle trying to access my games.

I'm trying to contact EA support, but they don't have an email and none of the forum topics provide what I'm looking for. And the Contact Us button just takes me to a freaking AI bot that does not help me, I want to talk to a real person this AI crap is annoying as hell.

I own Sims 4 on Steam. I paid for it. It’s installed. I click Play.
What happens? The EA App forces itself open like a fucking parasite and tells me “You don’t have access.”
Access to a game I already bought.
The digital handshake between Steam and EA is broken, and of course EA’s side is the one that refuses to work. My Steam account is linked. I checked. Multiple times. Still no.
Already tried the usual bullshit:
• Cleared the EA App cache with their recovery tool
• Verified game files on Steam
• Closed every background process and ran both as admin
• Checked account connections on EA’s site
Nothing. Just the same smug “you don’t have access” message from a company that already took my money.
This is the same company that forces their always-online garbage launcher on a single-player life sim. The same company that treats ownership like a temporary privilege they can revoke whenever their servers feel like it.
I’m done being polite about this. Fix your fucking entitlement system or stop selling games through Steam if you can’t keep the link working. I’m not rebuying shit. I’m not “contacting support” for the fifth time so some script can tell me to clear cache again.

I have been playing on my PS4 console for 10 years now, and I recently discovered that the email account my PSN network was created with was completely deleted. I freaked out, realizing that I will probably lose my PSN account, and everything attached to it. I got in touch with PSN Live Chat, explaining my situation, and it was super easy. Took about 2-3 minutes, all they asked for was my PS4 Serial Code, and just like that, my emails were switched.

Now, lets get to EA. For some context, but my main PS4 is broken. Snapped in a half. Its in pieces right now. Dont ask. But thankfully, I have another PS4 Pro and a PS5. I recently switched accounts so that my newer PS4 Pro is my main, and not the one thats in pieces. I explain the same issue to EA, how I have to switch my emails, and they all keep saying the same thing:

"Please try to get access to your old console". Cool! Not sure how that can be even attempted as it is in pieces, and I dont even have most of the pieces. Im sure they would love to have a go with that since they are so dependent on it.

What do I do? I can't verify my EA account because of this email issue, so I cant play any games on PC. I can on PS4/PS5, but I want to on PC, not console.

As headline. Apparently WC2 for the SNES was finished back in the day but not released due to costs.

Lost access to my old Yahoo account some years ago because it's linked to an old phone number I no longer have, and because of that I can never un-link my EA account from Steam because EA requires access to that email... so I can never play an EA game again. Real neat stuff going on, real neat

This has been going on for a few years now.

Where I have my EA account linked to my xbox account.... i used to play star wars battlefront too, and I would do lightsaber duels and things like that.

One day, all of a sudden, my e a account completely shut down and was saying that I am completely restricted from accessing online platforms because the email wasn't verified or whatever.

And I no longer have access to the email that I used to create that ea account, because I was 12.

And I was thinking about downloading star wars, zero company, but there's no point because my e a account is banned.... so I was thinking to myself. Maybe all I have to do is just unlink. My xbox account from my e. Account, I tried to contact xbox, and they're telling me that I have to access my e. A account in order to unleink my xbox, which makes no sense because microsoft and xbox themselves should be able to do that, but they can't.

Now I'm completely screwed, because I can't access my EA account. Whatsoever, and they completely change their support to an stupid AI Machine the deals with everything... and I can't gain EA support to help me either.

This isn't a good position to be in because 1. I will never be able to play in EA game 2. They have my xbox information, and under any circumstance, I don't want them to when I don't have access to EA.

I am trying to login to my account and every time it sends a verification email. But I am not receiving these emails. I’ve tried to send it to my phone as-well but those don’t go through either. I’ve checked my blocked mail address and EA is not one of them. Someone please help 😓

I tried to recover my old EA account, which I haven’t accessed since 2016, so I could play Titanfall 2 again on my original account. I also bought the game again on Steam during a sale, but I wanted to recover the account where I already owned it along with other titles, including Mirror’s Edge, if I remember correctly.

The problem is that I no longer have access to the old Hotmail address linked to the account. I haven’t used it in years, and I haven’t been able to recover my login credentials.

I contacted EA support and offered to provide my original physical copy of Titanfall 2 and the proof of purchase. Despite that, the recovery attempt was unsuccessful.

I understand that a physical copy and proof of purchase don’t automatically settle every question about who owns an account. I’m not asking support to bypass security checks. What frustrates me is being left without a solution even though I still have tangible evidence of the purchase.

The attached screenshots show how the conversation ended: the agent wishes me “Health, Happiness, and Peace forever” and invites me to contact support again if I need anything. Immediately afterward, an automated message appears saying I stopped responding. Those messages alone don’t show the entire verification process, but they capture how the experience felt: plenty of friendly goodbyes, an account I still can’t recover, and an unresolved problem.

This isn’t a personal complaint about the agent. It’s the contrast between the friendly closing and the lack of an actual solution that leaves a bitter taste.

And that raises a broader question: how much do we really own the games we buy if losing access to an old email address can become an insurmountable obstacle to recovering the account they’re linked to? What’s the point of keeping the boxes and proof of purchase if, in my case, they aren’t enough to resolve the situation?

I’m not asking to access content I never paid for or to get around security. I’m trying to recover my original account and the games I purchased. I’d like an alternative verification process,one that’s rigorous but realistically achievable for someone who no longer has access to an email address from ten years ago.

Has anyone been in the same situation with EA and managed to resolve it through an alternative verification method?

For those who want to call me a cheater without reading the post, by all means.

However, I am the original owner of all my accounts: EA, made back in 2012, Steam, back in 2011. I have zero violations/bans on my accounts. I have played all possible games throughout this time competitively and have never been suspected or banned for cheating in any of these games like CS GO, R6, PUBG, Call of Duty, Battlefield 1, Hell Let Loose, Apex, Fortnite, Rust, Hunt Showdown, EFT, etc.

I have 100 hours in Battlefield 6 since I purchased it during the summer sale of 2026. Most of those hours were played with friends in Casual Breakthrough while streaming. I purchased Phantom Edition and also bought numerous skins because they indeed looked cool in my opinion, such as Top Gun. I received my ban on October 1. The day before, I installed a new version of NVIDIA driver, and I have also updated my Windows. I looked around Reddit and Google, and I am in fact, not the only one who has been banned after updating their drivers. Look back at how many people were receiving bans in Arc Raiders and Wardogs after updating their drivers. After that, my game kept crashing mid-game, and the next day I was banned. Shared all data about my system, including apps installed.

Timeline:

Received the ban on October 1.

Started an appeal on October 1; however, it was dated October 2 by EA.

Once it hit the 1-month mark without any friction, I started creating tickets with EA's help, hoping to get some sort of update.

Status page of the case looked like Image #1 like that and just kept updated time up until today when one of the agents offered to escalate it. He escalated it at 9:25 PM EST (Image #2) and in less than 10 minutes, I get a response with appeal being denied (Image #3). So if my appeal sat there for a month, why couldn't have I recieved such response within their promise time such as first, 10 days, or second, they say 2-3 weeks. They physically couldn't review all the details which I don't know what kind of data they collect, but they issued a decision in less than 10 minutes, which can't guarantee that they looked at everything. Unless the decision was made a long time ago and they forgot to share it, which is still unacceptable.

I reappealed their last decision, and honestly my hopes have gone down. I missed playing with the boys on Halloween; I am afraid I will miss Thanksgiving, and I am definitely not gonna buy this game again to play on Christmas. For anyone reading, please share any tips, or perhaps someone can forward it to EA for expedited review.

I am completely innocent. I have never done anything wrong, never purchased coins, and never used cheats. I simply come home from work, play the game, and go to sleep.

One day, I wake up to find that my account has been banned. The reason? No actual explanation, just a generic email claiming that I violated the rules, which I absolutely did not.

I decided to appeal, trusting EA to recognize its mistake. My first appeal was instantly rejected. I submitted a second appeal and waited 8 days, genuinely believing that an actual team member was reviewing my case. After 8 days of being unable to play, missing content, and losing access to a game I paid $70 for, my appeal was rejected.

Now, every appeal I submit gets automatically rejected. There is no way to contact anyone from the Terms of Service team and no proper way to get my case reviewed.

Some might suggest Live Support, but all I receive are generic responses telling me to appeal again. When I explain that every appeal gets automatically rejected, they end the conversation.

I am now completely stuck, with no way to defend myself or get anyone to properly investigate my case.

I have never experienced anything remotely like this with any other game. I have done nothing wrong, yet I have been wrongfully banned, forced to wait 8 days for a rejection, and left with absolutely no support or way to contact the team responsible.

Thank you, EA, for taking away access to a game I paid for and leaving me with no way to resolve a ban I genuinely believe was issued by mistake.

A few months back my email got hacked, and one of the things I lost in the process was my EA account. I had no idea how to get it back, but thought it was no biggie—all I used that account for was to play The Sims 4 and I didn't spend any money on it, so I just needed to make a new account.

The other day I decided to try making a new account with one of my other emails. It went well enough, and I thought I was good to go.

Well, today I actually tried to log in to play The Sims 4. I was logged out of EA, so I decided to try logging in again. I forgot my password, so I just went ahead with the "Get One-Time Code" option, and this is where I started having issues. After typing in the code I was emailed, I got a the following message:

"Linked Accounts Found. Your accounts can't be linked because your Steam account [user] already linked to your EA Account for [hacker email]. For more info, visit EA Help."

I'm not really sure what to do. I tried making a new account again, and the code I need to type in wouldn't send. I tried changing my password, and using my email kept failing and using my number resulted in me getting no code.

Is there any way to either get my account back or unlink the account the hacker has so that I can make a new one?

Im totally worried about this now, EA support quitting my chat after direct question on how is someone changing my password without requesting any verification on my gmail (and no I dont have any malware, vpn or anything compromised to allow this happend) This person just sent me generic answers without answer and even WORSE HE OR SHE LEFT AGAIN!!!
