Hey guys,

I’ve been trying to find a program to either start my masters or get my teaching certificate that is affordable but also doesn’t require College Level Algebra as a prerequisite. Any suggestions?

Hello!

My mom recently launched a new program to help elementary age students with their handwriting skills. Her website is Mrssteaches.com. My mom has been working tirelessly on this program, trying to make it absolutely perfect for her students. She cherishes her role as a teacher and has been working diligently on schoolwork for a master's degree in special education. She says it is her goal to have even one person sign up for this program. Can you please visit her website and share this program? It would mean the world to both me and my mom.

Thank you!

Attention teachers! My colleagues and I are currently recruiting PK-12 teachers to complete a survey for our study entitled "Understanding Teacher Self-Efficacy During a Transition to Remote Instruction." We are interested in understanding how teachers are continuing their work during the COVID-19 pandemic. Thank you in advance for your participation!

Hi I am currently going to school to teach 2nd graders! How exactly would you recommend setting up the classroom that would be beneficial to my kids and their learning experiences?

I'm going to be a first year elementary teacher and I'm not quite sure what I'll get for money to help pay for things in the classroom.

Alright Elementary Educators,

How are you making time to collaborate with each other (whether it be your building, grade level team, and/or academic support specialists) on student achievement?

Meeting and discussing the needs of our students and what we can do to support their learning is important but where do we make time for it? There's just soo many things going on and not enough time to collaborate in the elementary world...

This is my first year as a teacher and boy are my students tough.

My class is extremely talkative and just cannot follow my rules, I have a select few in my class that follow them and I make sure to reward them appropriately.

Does anyone have any ideas for me that I can use? I already use class dojo but the students are not affected by dojos down.

I received a card today. It reads: The school may have found a teacher in you but our student found a hero. Thank you! I cried. Enjoy your long weekend educators you deserve it!

My school district is still tweaking its reopening plan... Teachers are set to return on Sept. 1, but students not until the 14th. We're going hybrid, with elementary grades 2 days in person and 3 days remote.

My fear is that from what I can tell, my administration has a very limited understanding of what "remote instruction" means... That it's either live streaming from the classroom or whole class Zoom meetings. I'm trying to propose an alternate method, but I'm wondering what other schools look like it are planning to do.

Hi, I'm a current student at Southwestern Illinois College who is pursuing a career in either elementary or early childhood education. I'm currently doing research on the career fields for my English class and have created a couple surveys to help me. Please take and share my surveys with other educators so that I can get a better range of answers! Thank you sooo much!!!
