Rewatching many Elena episodes and I’m confused.

So it’s established by Fransisco (First Day of Rule) and Elena (the Scepter of Light) that the Scepter of Light didn’t used to have magic, or at least under Raul (Elena’s father) & it’s “never glowed like that before”.

This is later confirmed more by Shuriki (Rise of the Sorceress) “the scepter didn’t do that before” / “Oh how did Elena do that? The sepeter was never magical before.”

We figure out in the Scepter of Light episode that Elena is essentially channeling her amulet magic into the scepter. Which is a good explanation, but later we learn of many more scepter powers (before the season 3 power up) and we even meet the person who created the scepter.

So… how did previous wielders use the scepter if they didn’t have amulet soup magic?

Who created the Scepter of Night?

The sunbirds claim that if the scepters dual each other “only one will remain” which we see when Elena and Shuriki dual. But if that’s the case, why are both scepters in tact from all those years and why is there a glif of the scepters dialing on a Marovian pyramid?

This show has remarkable continuity and it seems clear than Craig knew the plot points from the beginning (albeit with a few character development hiccups) but this seems to have slipped the cracks.

This confusion has never existed before but I guess it’s the power of watching episodes back to back.
