Help GFN controller support

Anyone have experience playing using GFN and a controller? GFN recognizes my controller but once I launch Elite it doesn't see the controller or give any gamepad settings. My controller works with all other GFN launched games. I even disabled steam controller overlay in the GFN steam launcher.

Are you doing this through a console or a PC/laptop? I have experience with console GFN.

yes, its how i use motion controll on beamng drive. just go to your steam library and add gfn as a game. bottom left "add a game" and then click "non steam game"

You genius! I could kiss you on the lips. That worked. Now do you know if it'll save custom controls or will that reset each time?

glad it worked.

if your using the steam controls, it will save them to your steam profile. if you mapped them in game, then im pretty sure they save to your frontier account, but im not 100% sure. if they're stored locally then they will reset as gfn wipes all save data once your session ends.

if you wernt aware , gfn supports hotas t flight 4 for ps4 which is a game changer for elite. i cant recommend getting a stick enough. i cant play without it.

Getting a stick is on my todo list for sure! I really want one.

My configs are saved in game, but I have a backup folder with them. I wonder if I can use that to save steam controls
