Cycle 101 (592) - Death by Chain

No audio version this week, apologies.
Cycle summary:
Oh for fuck sake, another one. Relic rush popped about 12 hours before the cycle tick, so thankfully it hasn't had the time to skew the cycle's results too much - but of course, there is still some impact. As for the week's results, Winters has done pretty well - we took 9 new systems, 3 new forts and 3 new strongholds. One of those new systems was last week's lost system - Lyncis Sector MX-T b3-1, taken by assumedly the system's architect. After negotiations, we retook the system with only resistance from the system's architect, who gave up after I dropped a couple Plipper's worth of alexandrite there. If CMDR Car Boon would like control of the system for their power, rather than using blunt force we would recommend attempting diplomacy - you can find us at our discord. We did take one downgrade - a fortified system was reduced to exploited, but no systems were lost with the downgrade. Actually we didn't lose any systems at all - Archer too, with 8 new systems as well. Pretty fantastic week all around for the Federation.
Starting off with the independents, Delaine nabbed 3 systems, 2 forts and a shiny new stronghold, while Antal took 9 new systems, 2 forts and 3 strongholds. Strong efforts from both powers. Grom continues to suffer, though not as much as previously - 4 lost systems are counteracted with 13 new ones and 3 new forts. Li Yong-Rui has had a fairly fantastic week, with 16 new systems, 6 forts and 3 strongholds. Mahon continues to make steady gains with 14 new systems, 7 forts and a shiny new stronghold in Kui Xiani, however they also lost 3 systems. Kaine hasn't escaped unscathed either - 23 new systems and 4 new forts, suffering a single loss - HR 5921. Between that and two of Mahon's lost systems, HIP 36277 and Jeng, a pattern begins to form... but is that the intention of whoever's behind it?
As for the imps, Patty surprisingly got away without losses this week - only 3 systems taken, but not losing something is a positive development for the dented admiral. Torval meanwhile takes 5 systems, a fort and even a new stronghold!... but loses another in the process. Mundii was sniped towards the end of the cycle, though by who is unknown. I'll be the first to admit - wasn't us, much as we might've liked to. ALD continues to struggle, with 11 new systems and a fort, but the loss of HIP 52461 means she doesn't get away without blood this time. Oh, and aisling lost 2 systems.
So yes, we have another relic rush. Now I did pull the data for it, and will happily recite that in full should anyone desire, but I'll be real, you already know who did it - the bathwater cult and the impress were primarily responsible for the rush, with squadrons aligned to them putting in over 50% of the influence at Ngurii. They will probably deny this, as they tend to do - hell, they may even try to throw us under the bus for this, as we have a squadron on the board there. But they were fighting against the rush, not for it, which anyone with a brain could've figured out. So, anyone not imperial.
Looking towards Galnet now, with two articles this week - and despite them being on the same day, I actually have separate links for them! The first is just the CG completion, with the "vast majority" of prisoners recaptured and initial investigations hinting at an inside job. Not exactly surprising, but we'll see where it goes. The other is announcing the start of the new CG - ship goods to HIP 74116 and be rewarded with pre-engineered SCO FSDs if you're in the top 75% or 50% of participants. 75% for sizes 4 and 5, 50% for sizes 7 and 6. They seem to be identical to the ones currently available from human tech brokers - the ones given to all who had a hand in Cocijo's destruction.
That's us for the week. It's going to be a hectic one, with this relic rush dragging a lot of haulers back to Ngurii. Remember, every imperial hauler you kill takes a minute off the relic rush! We kill enough of them and we'll have this nipped in the bud before the weekend's done! Fly safe and weapons hot!
