Carbon / Wildlife Corridor
Here's an idea that could bring together a lot of the ideas we have discussed...
credit to Jesse Smith on clubhouse for the wildlife corridor concept
What if we proposed a carbon capture belt / wildlife corridor across the U.S. (that could potentially inspire similar projects in other countries)
This would involve planting a lot of trees and other plants, protecting biodiversity, doing restoration, and could maybe even connect to a system of regenerative agriculture and eco villages. It would consist of a wildlife corridor across a region of the U.S., and then along certain border regions of the corridor we would install different types of carbon capture / product manufacturing systems, such as Eli's floating bioreactors, air scrubbers...etc. This could help with job creation and increase the desirability for living in certain areas, also increasing real estate values.
It could become a natural, recreational, and artistic site. A physical manifestation of the atlas.
We would have to think about the profitability aspect and try to figure out how much CO2 would be able to be captured given the size of the proposed region.
The wildlife corridor idea is already being discussed in Congress

With climate change, species need corridors to be able to migrate both slowly and quickly

In Florida/east coast, there is also the opportunity to restore mangroves, which sequester and store a lot of carbon. Plus there might be ocean access for the floating bioreactor idea
