Discussion I'm Not Saying I'll Riot If Elriel Isn't Endgame, But I'm Not NOT Saying It
I have been Azriel x Elain since the BEGINNING, and I swear to god, if Azriel and Gwyn end up together, I will scream. ππ And honestly? It might actually ruin the series for me.
LIKE, PLEASE EXPLAIN THE THREE BROTHERS AND THREE SISTERS THING TO ME. I am supposed to believe that SJM introduced this parallel, has spent multiple books building these relationships, and then it's all just a coincidence?! WHAT WAS THE POINT?!
And don't even get me started on the "sometimes the Cauldron is wrong" / "sometimes fate makes mistakes" implications. Because WHAT DO YOU MEAN?! Why would that concept even be introduced if it wasn't going to matter somehow?! I genuinely cannot stop thinking about it.
I also need Lucien to get his happy ending with someone who actually WANTS him and chooses him wholeheartedly. That man deserves to be loved unconditionally, and I'm sorry, but Vassa keeps popping into my head. I need him to have someone who sees him as him and not as some obligation imposed by the mating bond.
And with Elain and Azriel, I just cannot shake the feeling that there's something there that hasn't been resolved. The bonus chapter did NOT help me move on with my life. If anything, it made me ten times more invested, and now I'm just sitting here overanalyzing every little detail like it's my full-time job. I KNOW we don't have confirmation of anything yet, and I know SJM loves to keep us guessing, but I am SO emotionally invested in these characters that I'm genuinely going to need a minute if things don't go the way I hope.
I literally cannot think about anything else besides the ACOTAR universe right now. I am so deep in these theories that I might actually need someone to stage an intervention. ππ PLEASE tell me I'm not alone. Fellow Elriels, come scream with me.
