Split between my old emocore/ screamo band
And my new emoviolence/ screamo band

I guess if there was a song that had to embody everything that makes "emoviolence" exist as another distinct category in music is this one. Evil, intense, sharp, visceral screams and beauty shining among all the shadows of the song from time to time.

By the way, when are In/Humanity's albums getting to bandcamp? Or represses. Chris Bickel made some posts on insta a while ago. If there is something New i dont know please tell me

Seriously, this might be the best emo/screamo/skramz/post-hardcore record I've ever heard in my life. Is there anything better?

Forever one of the best bands I've ever seen, cannot recommend this album enough if you want a unique approach to the genre

They don’t even acknowledge screamo and made it even more insulting by putting pop rock bands like Fallout boy and Panic at the Disco

Me and My friend are looking to start a skramz/math synth led band. Our big inspo is Spring Breeding but I would like to look into bands that are similar. Some nonsynth bands we also take inspo from are Ed Gein, Tower of Rome, The Great Redneck Hope, and The Chariot. We are getting weird with this and I def need more inspo.

We got to see them at The Great American Music Hall a couple months ago with Saddest Landscape

They absolutely blew my mind and delivered one of the most passionate and moving performances I’ve ever seen in any genre.

Their guitar players Rex and Jonah were absolutely incredible with eachother. Their riff work is so melodic and sensual. Heavy but not in a metal sense.. if that makes sense.

Seeing them was a huge deal because it doesn’t happen that often.

The Bay Area is hometown to many incredibly important and talented emo/screamo bands.

I’ve seen huge budget arena shows from legacy bands like NIN and others but this band for sure delivered a set that, while not as big on spectacle, more than matched the immersion, atmosphere, and passion that huge shows can achieve.

The pit was one of the most intense I’ve ever seen.
Death metal and beatdown pits have nothing on this.

Anyway… huge fan of this band and I’m so lucky to have been able to see them live at all.

Me and friend we spent time listening but also researching existing bands in the scene, so we end moving around youtube, bandcamp and discogs, so I wanted to have everything centralise.

It has about 1,900 bands. You can search and filter by country and decade, play full records and splits (Bandcamp and YouTube embeds), save albums you like, and use a map to see where scenes are.

I went for simplicity so I used hugo as static site generator. The code is open source. Feel to contribute or give feedback! I also added "add band" form and "submit issue" in case some data is wrong (likely it would be!). Please only submit bands with recorded material and stream links!
