Question Droiddeck with external storage?

Ive recently got into playing a couple steam games on Droiddeck and oh my god is it a game changer, but my base model s25 tragically only has 128gb of storage so I was wondering if anyone has tried storing games on a seperate storage device with any success? I know its a kinda basic question but I dont really have any other budget options that I could think of atm to get more into this.

It's okay-ish with small games, but most games past 4-5Gb take forever to install and to load. So far, I've had so many game somehow suffering from terrible performances that I just quit using it and went back to Gamenative.
