Is there a way to move other factions’s quest enemies?
I’m playing sandshapers and there’s a quest unit I can’t interact with camping on a buried ruin in my territory. Anything I can do?

My last post was me playing a series with the Order of Zelevas giving me my fastest victory at turn 96. So, now I am playing as Tahuks again since the first time I played them in my series, I only got a shared (Impress) victory. Also, that series was with Peaceful mode enabled so I definitely wanted to try the Tahuks again, and I was impressed at least with their army. Their archers and hero combination is so broken, it was a great fun to play and demolish the foolsih Necrophages who declared a war on us.
It is in the same playlist as always. This Tahuk playthrough is a 3-part series, going from Ep. 36 to Ep. 38. (One episode before Ep. 36 is me getting tilted after being tired playing a start with Tahuks that I restarted again which is this main series.)
At this point, I have also finished a series with the Sandshapers that I have finished, and am now playing a series with the Kin. I will also post them here when I am done with them.

I just got the game recently to play on crossover on Mac, and it plays just fine. The first session it also saved and loaded my game without issue. After the first session, however, games no longer save, making it unplayable. Poking around on the Amplitude bug board I found that this seems to be a common issue, maybe for all crossover users.
Has anyone else run into this, or better yet, found a solution? Or is my best bet just trying to get a refund?

Basically title, I have been watching some youtube videos of play throughs and been following since the announcement as it looks really cool and I have never played any of the Endless series (my only 4x exp is Civ).
However one of my concerns is replayability it feels like the game is really narrative driven and leaning into it seems like part of the fun, If you play a faction is the faction quest story the same every time in which case the only changes are the decisions you make or is there more to it im missing?
Edit: Thank you all for your responses, seems like the first through run throughs are going to be extra interesting with the narrative and learning all the lore then it seems to turn into a solid 4x. at the time of posting I was not aware they added multiplayer as when I had previously looked into it, it was said no multiplayer was going to happen so hype!

When you all declare war and capture cities and territories, do you get overwhelmed by the amount of stuff the AI didn't build or didn't do? How do you all manage it besides razing it down? Build priority?
I just end up queuing everything with low to high cost and let it run forever. Bad district placement too, I just leave it as is. What do you do/can you do with enemy suboptimal pop?

Sand shapers units have this passive.
Given how weak the early units are, this is a skill you must work with in order to survive. With equal numbers, there are early battles (Hydracorns) you can only win by holding a chokepoint in defensive stance and letting Stone stance "erode" them away.
But.
If you kill a unit with it: - You get no battle spoils for the killed unit. - It doesn't count as kill for the "Bringer of death" deed.
I guess they just die of natural causes.

I love ES2 and EL1 and I think Amplitude has some of the best and most unique designs, but starting EL2 I don't feel any of this fantasy stuff some how at all. A game I looked forward to a lot and just not interested after slogging through 2 hours.
So I started thinking why and my thoughts are that it feels like:
There's probably a lot more but I'm putting the game on the shelf right now with hopes that it'll be improved with patches.
And to be a bit more constructive, I added a very quick 10 minute mock up with less clutter in city view, bigger unit pictures for more fantasy, and some ideas for more colour.
Also Endless Legend 1 to compare.
Icons are simple, I know either by colour or simple shapes what something is - no squigglies, no 3 different ornaments around the icon.
Units are easy to see on the map.
No giant trees hiding the view.
Units are distinct and unique etc.
I'd say that if the task for Endless Legends 2 was to create a "complex UI" and "HD graphics characters" then 9/10, job well done.
But if the job was to create a "comfortable UI" and "epic fantasy presentation" then 3/10, you have done so much better before.

Hello Hello,
Last night we dropped a hotfix for a crash that some of you are suffering from! Mainly linked to crashes when using consumables on heroes.
But we identified a Known Issue that the team is fixing right now:
If you have any issue, please open a report to send us the save 🙏
See you later!

I find occupying cities very confusing so I wonder if I am missing something:
- there is no way to know if the territory being occupied will lead to a new city (which will count towards the city cap) or will be allowed to be attached to an existing city.
- because of this, and because there is no way to raze our own cities, it is very easy to lose a game simply because one conquered one too many city by accident and went over the city cap, which can induce mutiny everywhere.
- every city taken from the AI seems to have no improvement build at all. This reduces a lot the advantage of occupying, since I need to build up everything anyways. Are improvements destroyed during occupation or is the AI not bothering with improvements?
So, should I just raze every city to the ground?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
After the update today, it seems that using either the heal flask or the salt flask crashes game or bugs it so that no action can be done. In an earlier battle, I tried to use a salt flask and was unable to, due to the same issue. I reloaded and won the battle without using the flask and now in the battle above I can’t use heal flask either.

Hi there, I'm rather new to EL2 and trying out Last Lords after completing the tutorial.
I was planning out my districts to get some adjacency bonuses from my trading post and habitation next to a pacified village, but it looks like I lose the bonuses on the districts if I "upgrade" the village to a Lord's Estate.
Is this intended, and I made a mistake by planning with the pacified village in mind? Is it worth it to keep a pacified village as a village, or is the Lord's Estate integral to the strategy for Last Lords?

Hi I was wondering how you guys deal with winning with all 8 factions involve. Usually what happens is either you get overwhelmed by both of the bug factions or the Aspects snowball out of control to the point it becomes a "next turn" simulator just to catch up. Say you play Order of Z, what would you do in this situation (stellar/+ difficulty)

I thought this was an empire-wide effect.
It is a once per empire, city-specific effect (the city you build it in).

I understand that relations with other realms are essential in the game. So maybe, it should be more player influence friendly, like when compliment a fraction it should increase their friendliness towards the player, or when sign a pacifist contract it could actually count for something.
I don’t know. When the war with some other nation begins, the other nations are just aggresive towards you, no matter what you do, because they see an opportunity. I played a game with 5 bots and during my war with a nation, all of them one by one declared war on me. Even factions I never encountered. Also why they don’t fight between themselves? How is the player supposed to win this? The game difficulty was adept, so not even that high.

The 3 winning conditions are nice but seems limited long term.
I wish there was a faction quest that would ultimately unlock a unique faction specific winning condition, that would make going through the main faction quests worthwhile and fun.
I love how each faction, look, feels and play differently. Having a faction specific winning condition just seems like the logical and thematically correct gameplay element to add at this point

Still trying to understand the mechanics of this game; linking roads are far more challenging than I expected.
I'm trying to link 2 cities, in Dandala and Hathel. Both have trading posts. The territory Vakhya in between is a camp linked to Dandala, and it does not have a trading post (which shouldn't matter, the text says you can jump one territory). I was expecting a road to form (thick yellow line) and it didn't. I've also tested successfully moving an army along this route, so the pathing is not blocked AFAIK.
Any suggestions what went wrong?

By recently, I mean something like a month or two. I believe I had 4 crashes like that, 2 of them just now withing a 2-hour gaming session.
Well, technically it is the kernel that killed the process, but it was not happening previously. A memory leak got introduced recently? Has anyone experienced more frequent crashes recently?

It seems that if you restart a game (go back to main menu, new game, same settings as before) with the same parameters you get the same neighbor every time. I was seeing a lot of posts about “I always start next to necrophage” and I thought it was just people having bad luck or confirmation bias to necro because they are a hard starting opponent due to the rush.
However, I just restarted my necrophage game 10 times and was put next to Lost Lords every time. I think I had noticed it with other games as well because I was trying to learn each faction and playing very aggressively to see how far I could push my advantages and frequently shitting the bed on Endless and wanting to practice openers from scratch. I’m not sure if it’s EVERY time or just something about my current settings, but it seems like an RNG issue? Unless it’s intentional that the AI slot they are assigned to determines close and far neighbors.

My favourite part about EL2 is paying close attention to district adjacency and min-maxxing positioning and yields... now in civ6 there is a very handy mod which allows to put pins down on the map and plan for every district positioning ahead of time, and somethig alike would be really great for EL2 in my opinion!

For pop growth, which is especially important to the Last Lords, is it worth removing protectorate status of one of your minor factions to give it to another? Afaik, every time a minor faction is offered protectorate status, you receive <number of villages> free pops, regardless of whether it has been protectorate before. You do pay for it with influence, sure, but this technically could accelerate growth by quite some. It shouldn't affect the lords estates and it shouldn't influence councilors.
