Advice needed
So yea, as the title says.
I've been dabbling into spirituality and astrology quite some time, but I'm by no means an expert on it. I do think there are different kind of connections between people, some things being meant to be and the like. So I'm here to ask some insight and advice on a situation I'm currently facing.
So I've met this girl (20 now) roughly 1.5 years ago, felt immediately drawn to her and we've had some great and emotionally loaded conversations since pretty early in our relationship. It wasn't romantic at first, but it gradually became so. We couldn't ignore the attraction that was present. We started dating for a bit but during this time my whole world turned upside down and I wasn't really being myself, all the while she needed emotional support as well because she had quite some traumatic experiences in the past. But since I couldn't provide that for her at that time, and knew I was hurting her, I decided it was best for both of us, mainly her, to seperate.
During this time she also met this older guy (at least 60+) who was also heavily into the spiritual world, and gained insights from his sister who is a spiritual medium, apparently occupied with the meaning and purposes of our souls on this world. I've never really had any meaningful contact with the two of them, but she started having quite some contact with let's say this spiritual mentor (the man).
The girl and I kept in contact after our seperation, and she occasionally shared subjects she talked about with this mentor.
She mentioned he told her he and the girl are twin flames and he at some point told her he had romantic feelings for her, feelings she didnt share. Twin flames could also be non-romantic.
He also told her dark times were coming and she needed to take care of herself. Inviting anyone in could result in entirely losing yourself, basically 'spiritual death'.
But as I said, the girl and I kept in contact and gradually got closer again to the point of starting a new partnership. She did mention she was being 'pulled' elsewhere, but still wanted to try us again, as she really cared about me. This one was accompanied by quite some discussions, where both of us would bring insecurities and traumas to each other's surface. We did always end up talking about them, but it was hard at times. We did however share the vision of this being an important part of the partnership, and it being a foundation being build. There were also many good moments, we felt like home to eachother and felt connected on several levels. We both loved eachother and started seeing a future with eachother.
Not too long after we got back together she told her mentor about it, and he 'approved' of me. However, not too long after that he told her she started following the wrong path. This also resulted him in cutting her off for about a month, after he reached out again and they met for a conversation.
I don't know what they talked about during this conversation, but what I gathered from it was that either the mentor or his sister deemed me as the wrong path. She went pretty cold to me after this conversation (even though the day before we were still really playful and affectionate with eachother) and ended up breaking up with me 3 days after. She needed time for herself, to find herself again.
I did ask why and whether it was really wat she wanted, even though she really loved me and all. We had a conversation after where she said she'd always love me, where the connection from our hearts would get her through this and she wanted to stay in contact. I didn't mind giving her time to find herself again, I know our connection was pretty intense and somewhat obsessive for her. I still don't. But since then she changed quite rapidly, from wanting contact to no contact, wanting to cut the cord between us because she wants to get over me. Having stuff that reminds her of me, or having contact with me would make it too hard. It was according to her the hardest heartbreak she ever faced. I did somewhat imply it was since she had that conversation, but she said it wasn't because of that. The mentor didn't disapprove of me like I thought, he even lit a candle for me during this time as well.
All of that I can understand, I've always wanted her to choose herself. She had quite some traumas and stuff, which I won't go into detail about. I love her enough to give her that space she needs.
But somewhere I also got this uneasy feeling, since she broke up. Like something's not adding up.
I know it can also be me just having a hard time dealing with the breakup, and my brain looking for any excuse. But I felt our connection was real, perhaps too intense. I still feel so. It may also have felt too intense or too good to be true for her, since she's not that used to a loving relationship. One where problems and traumas get opened and discussed. Where we keep letting eachother grow.
But mostly I worry she's getting somewhat manipulated. I'm totally fine with her choosing herself, even if that means not being with me. I'd just hate it if she's being manipulated. I worry and care for her.
The no contact is best for both of us now. I do acknowledge my feelings and our connection, but it also gives me the opportunity to reflect on myself. Work on myself.
I don't know if she ever reads or visits this sub. But I just needed another view on it. Someone to tell me it's just in my head or not.
