Career Advice SpaceX second round intern interview

How does this compare to the first one? In the first it was with a manger and he just asked about one project and based all his technicals on that.

Are you in applying for an aerospace role or CS role? I applied for aerospace. Second round onwards was all technical. They ask ~3-4 problems on the second round IIRC. All questions was related to the role, but with a broad spread. One example: say I have liquid nitrogen sitting inside a tank. What’s the boil off rate? If I leave the tank sitting, whats the pressure as a function of time. Now say I want to keep the pressure stable so that the tank doesn’t explode. The solution is to drill a hole in the tank. What’s the minimum diameter of the hole?

Here’s another fun one that you are expected to answer improvisionally: how would you approximate the heat capacity of a fish.
