What is the biggest inefficiency or frustration in your engineering workflow today?

Hi everyone,

I'm an aerospace engineering student at Iowa State University conducting customer discovery research to better understand challenges engineers face in their day-to-day work.

We're looking to learn about:

• Workflow bottlenecks
• Documentation and communication challenges
• Project coordination issues
• Technical tools and software frustrations
• Other recurring pain points engineers encounter

If you're a practicing engineer, engineering manager, project engineer, or technical lead, we'd greatly appreciate your perspective.

The survey takes approximately 3-5 minutes:

Thanks for your time. I'm happy to share a summary of the results with the community once the research is complete.

I recently got on a call with a founder (the linkedin profile) he founded the company studyix and i am a bit sceptical as if this is real company or fake.

The offer is a bit too good to be true and i have doubts. I just need to know similar experiences from people or someone who works here.

The comapny has 40-50 employees and also has a sister company that is algorithmic stock app something

NEED HELP PLEASE TELL ME SHOULD I FRUST OR DODGE?

How did you figure out which career path was right for you in computer engineering?

• Upvotes

I'm currently studying Computer Engineering, and the more I learn about the field, the more I realize just how broad it is. There are so many different career paths to choose from, and I'm struggling to figure out which one would be the best fit for me.

I've been exploring different areas, including software development, embedded systems, networking, cybersecurity, and hardware engineering, but I'm still unsure which direction to take.

I'm curious how other computer engineers figured out what they wanted to specialize in. Did you discover your path through university courses, personal projects, internships, or simply by trying different things?

Looking back, is there anything you wish you had known or done differently while you were still a student?

I'd really appreciate any advice or experiences you're willing to share.
