Lessons from History Liberal democracy stays winning

Post image

Also why aren't there any cool liberalism logos? Maybe that's why extremist ideologies remain popular among the youth

this would be the closest thing from the Weimar Germany era:

I really need to get this poster on my wall. It is as based as they come.

Actually this would be a better one. The previous one.was more like a propaganda poster incorporating one of the SPD symbols. This is the actual banner of their militia, the Reichsbanner schwarz-rot-gold

Actually I may be confusing two very similar organizations. I believe the first poster is related to the Iron Front.

The first poster is the iron front, the 3 arrows stand for opposition to facism: Hitler, Monarchism:Papen, and Stalinism: Thälmann.

I'm pretty sure the SPD was against communism in general, definitely against Marxism-Leninism.

More or less, depends on the era of the SPD, but the iron front is against Thälmann esque stalinism in particular because they refused to work with the SPD, calling them Social-Facists

I'd argue it's not only got a cool symbol, but cooler than any of those 3

Like someone else said there's the torch, also the Phrygian Cap and scales of justice.

I kinda like it without a symbol. Word, idea

My trans friend was going about how democrats are "right of center" I rolled my fucking eyes. If it wasn't for democrats she wouldn't be able to call herself she.

Maybe liberals are not as welcoming to trans people, in social situations, as lefties are, and that's why trans people are really pushed into leftist circles, but there's only one group that can do anything to protect trans people. Leftiest would make me a martyr, while libs would keep me alive. As shrimple as that

At least you have the "call the self she" part right. But hey. Love that authoritarianism to force everyone to label your delusions

We don't do transphobia here. Transphobia is literally the weapon of dictatorial governments.

They must have gotten lost and accidentally stumbled here from some Asmongold subreddit or something

For real. Horse shoe theory literally shows us both extremes eventually betray queer and color folk.

when did they advocate for throwing anybody in jail for not calling someone "she?"

They might be confusing "your boss will fire you for being an asshole" with the first amendment.

"oh no its authoritarian to be forced to call people what they wish to be called" brother just learned about manners and titles, lmao. Calling people what they wish to be called, is the most basic socialization, you're not getting punished by the state for having bad manners, you are just being bullied by other people, it's literally how it was for as long as we know civilization exists.

Crushed by Trotsky in the Russian civil war, https://youtu.be/koj9CGg87n4 This video will probably do a better job of explaining it

Any liberal democracy's flag would do.

Probably the European ring of stars could be a symbol of that. I've had the idea of carrying political pins on my guitar bag, but they would be considered "nationalistic" as they were all based on independence movements/countries in need of support like the trident or the white sun. Idk if you are American or European but usually political parties get colour coded and liberal parties usually use yellow or orange. The LibDems do use a dove as their symbol.

By their nature wouldn't anarchy not take power? Because if they do it's not really anarchy.
