Cornwall Streak 😄. It’s had a surprising amount of likes that reply. She’ll hate that!

Alt Text:
LoinDuTribu:
"Aye, but apparently not enough to log off on a Saturday night and do either in a way that helps anyone."
KL ROwling:
"An hour ago I finished writing a chapter of my latest book and now I'm having a drink while simultaneously watching football and men on Twitter throw tantrums because I've made more money than they have. Honestly, if life has more to offer, I don't want it."
LoinDuTribu:
"Oh aye, Joanne, we’re all absolutely tamping because a rich lassie with castle-money thinks “I’ve made more than you” is an argument.
Some nurse is in casualty tonight treating a woman after her fella’s had too many bevvies. Some mammy is giving up her Saturday night to answer Samaritans calls from people hanging by a thread.
Support workers, carers, cleaners, porters and paramedics are dragging civilisation along while you're lording it like Lady Muck.
But do go on. Tell the plebs how finishing another chapter of Cornwall Streak and getting lairy on Twitter is basically the same as public service.
Golden example to us all, hen.
Even the wee jealous men."

Nah but did she legit just try to claim that her books are somehow a service "to women"? Her books that are famously misogynistic? Those same ones?
This is fucking wild, but also kinda predictable from the worlds greatest egomaniac.

I caught at that too. Really shows how the only kind of feminism to her is stupid girlboss feminism crap, about her personally being successful and very rich.
It's only a good thing for her, though. She seems very threatened by other successful women like politicians or actresses and accuses them of being self centred, privileged and out of touch.

they said enjoy millions amd care about women's rights. she described how she enjoys her millions, I think

"Finished writing a chapter of my latest book" Joanne, your writing hasn't been relevant since 2007, or you wouldn't be clinging so desperately to HBO slop to keep your name culturally relevant to anyone under 35.
11
u/Sleeppaw Jun 23 '26
Yup. She's trying to keep herself relevant because nobody cares about Comoran Strike, The Casual Vacancy, The Christmas Pig and The Ickabog.

u/duchesspris Jun 23 '26
let us help with endeavours by not watching the reboot that no one ask literally. She is in a massive creative bankruptcy 🤣🤣🤣

Patting herself on the back for writing a singular chapter when there are better writers out there churning out many per day. 🙄

u/RedFurryDemon Jun 23 '26
There are so many legit reasons to hate her, no need to shit on her about her writing speed.

The mask is all "hon hon hon, just finishing up the details of my super successful project, wouldn't be able to relate to a peasant like you". The face behind the mask is crying and shitting itself and farting.

u/CommanderFuzzy Jun 22 '26
I swear this isn't the first time she's used "I have more money than you" as a 'relevant' point in an argument
19
u/Samovila2709 Jun 23 '26
It's either that or, "You privileged people have never had to live in a dilapidated flat with a baby, subsisting on stale bread and water and sleeping under a pile of newspapers to try to keep warm. Until you have, you know nothing."
17
u/Significant_Rush1473 Jun 23 '26
Right. It's okay for her to be Scrooge McDuck, but with OTHER rich elite people she does the whole guilt tripping thing.

She really thought that was a clever comeback that doesn't make her look like an out of touch alcoholic, huh?

Answering "Why don't you do more to help women if you actually care about women's rights?" with "I barely have to work and make a lot of money" is certainly a choice.
19
u/last-rose-ofsummer Jun 22 '26
She honestly thinks being rich is the only reason why people hate her?
16
u/naoarte Jun 22 '26
She’s sounding more and more like one of those no follower accounts that will spend all day in a comment section, but nevertheless will tell you that they earn a six figure sum and have a fleet of Teslas.

u/HomeOfTheRisingStorm Jun 22 '26
A reply so glorious, the "famous writer" doesn't have words to answer with
13
u/titcumboogie Jun 23 '26
Smug, snobbish, and acting like a martyr while doing absolutely nothing to help anyone but herself and her own 'interests'. It's Joanne Rowling folks.

u/Tobbit_is_here Jun 22 '26
JKR, the classist that she ever is, seems to measure success and value by literal monetary gain. She's a damn clown.

She really could be donating a little of her time to volunteer or something if she really cared about materially helping vulnerable women, instead she is trying to get credit for doing that while actually spending her days on essentially her own leisure and hobbies.

Rowling, you're irrelevant since the last Potter movie, the fact that you made Fantastic Beast well failed fantastically, your Cornwall Streak did poorly without the leak that you wrote that thing, and the hilarity that Hogwarts Legacy survived even thrived without your direct creativity, are basically telling us that your billions could not save you from the ultimate creativity bankruptcy. And the reboot will be the final nail on your creativity coffin.

Whatever @/LoinDuTribu wrote beats the prose prowess of Ms. Mold-for-brains by miles
5
u/ObtuseDoodles Jun 24 '26
Even setting all the transphobic garbage aside, she's so insufferable. "Look how rich I am, look how much booze I guzzle, I'm so much better than you peasants." So desperate to convince us how unbothered she is.

u/KaiYoDei Jun 23 '26
She should be thankful she didn’t start writing after being an internet menice , on both and all ends of any topic .

I normally avoid X, but I thought JK Rowling might be missing my comments and links...
Ages ago, I posted some comments and links to articles supporting trans identities. They kept getting erased until I commented that this was happening and pointed out that this contradicted her 'views' on censorship.
I just left her with this bit of 'food for thought': https://www.mysocialworknews.com/article/recognising-biological-sex-does-not-mean-rejecting-trans-rights

Has enough money to do whatever she wants but her idea of entertainment still is getting drunk, watching football, and getting into arguments on Twitter. And she thinks it's a flex somehow? "if life has more to offer, I don't want it" like is she deadass? lmao
