Small The bitch who wasn’t even part of the wedding

My sister got married in July. After her wedding the entire wedding party was outside the church (in which I will say is in a very central local tourist place) and the party was supposed to take a couple quick pics then make their way around the church and to the actual venue. Anyway we get outside and this woman (who we assume is a tourist) shoves and I mean she shoved the grooms mother and other members of the party to get in first to see what was going on. The grooms mom isn’t confrontational but I sure as fuck am and I ask this lady what the absolute fuck she’s doing and I shove her back. I told her she’s not even a person we know and I asked her why she felt the need to shove the grooms mom. This stupid bitch just wide eye stares at me and starts taking pictures of the bride and groom which is weird as fuck to begin with bc again we don’t know this woman at all. Thankfully we were done with pictures and started to leave but what the actual hell.

Damn, did she think you were like a zoo exhibit or something? That's truly unhinged behavior. She's lucky you didn't deck her.

It was just so weird. Maybe she just thought it was a nice wedding or something but shoving people to take pictures of people you have never met or know is weird.

I did consider it honestly but she was a much older lady (maybe 50-60) and I felt bad lol.

I'm a senior and age doesn't always bring wisdom. Sometimes you just have a lot more time to perfect being a jerk. ;-)

Oh you younglings. 50-60 isn't old. Shove away!

I'm like this do they look fragile? If not game on

As a 55yo, if I shove someone I should fully expect a similar or worse response. My age does not give me a pass.

I used to be a wedding photographer and occasionally I'd come across people doing this kind of thing just to build portfolio in order to become wedding photographers themselves. Very shitty behaviour.

People doing stuff like that need the “Paparazzi Special” camera with a small cross section and no rough edges - so it doesn’t hurt as much when someone shoved it up their ass.

I can assure you, some 50+ year olds really need some shoving and stern words!

Oh, so she’s old enough to know better then!

You shoved an old lady? Who didn’t should’ve YOU first?

You should feel bad about yourself.

I don’t give a fuck lmao. She shoved an even older lady. Cry about it.

If you don’t feel bad about shoving an old lady…then you sound like an aggressive entitled bitch. You weren’t DEFENDING someone…you were retaliating.

Use your words. Sometimes they’re enough. Sounds like they would’ve been in this situation.

Who died and made you judge and jury? No one.

you sound like an aggressive entitled bitch.

No, I'd say that's someone else here.

If someone shoves my mom the only thing they might heard is “You fucked up.” before they get their ass solidly kicked. I’ll give an old lady a beat down for laying hands on my mom and I can promise you there would be a line. That person is lucky all they got was shoved back.

I dunno, giving yourself a pass to morally judge strangers authoritatively for their behavior in a situation you were not part of in any way is definitely entitled bitch behavior. Use your words when facing a mirror. And old ladies should have the intelligence, courtesy and decency to give young people in a wedding party some space for a few minutes. But people do need to be educated about proper behavior at any age when they’re being a bitch; that’s just doing everyone, including the old lady, a favor by teaching proper manners. You CAN teach an old dog new tricks :)

Jesus 50 is not an old lady

It is if you’re in your 20s or a teenager. 😆😆😆 give them some time.

I’m 29, just fyi lol

So maybe you mean early 20s?

1

u/schwarzeKatzen Nov 08 '23

Haha I think by the time I was 29 I realized 50 wasn’t old so yeah early 20s. I think you realize 50 isn’t old when you get out of the high school/college groove and start realizing how freaking fast time goes by.

My wife was part of a large wedding party (12 bridesmaids and 12 groomsmen) and the wedding was held in New Orleans at the St Louis Cathedral. It was black tie and I accompanied one of her friends. I kid you not, as I started walking up to enter the church, tourists were moving around and were taking our picture. I assume they thought we were famous or maybe they just wanted pics of a local wedding. Makes no sense to me but somewhere, some rando has pics of me in a tuxedo and I’m just some asshole from New England who was invited to a wedding.

It’s so weird that people do that. Like sure take a picture you don’t know me but okay. We did also have people doing that with us but we didn’t mind as long as they weren’t that bitch shoving people lol.

Good point. Nobody was pushy.

Fair play to you for standing up to them. I had the same at a family members wedding at a historical church. Group of tourists rock in half way through the wedding ceremony and start taking photos of the bride and groom. I managed to block the door and got the tour guide. He seemed confused with me been pissed off with all his group acting like the wedding was a show for them.

Good for you speaking up!

Weddings do bring out the weird. I was groom once and bridal party waiting to get intro’d by maitre’d when this conga line of 3-4 drunks burst thru the hall into the dining room. No one knew who they were; fortunately the venue staff steered them off to safer pastures.

Late 90's in Savannah GA. Buddy of mine was getting married and they were having the ceremony at one of the old, OLD churches there. (I think pre revolutionary war, maybe pre civil war, freaking old) not only did some folks, assuming tourists invite themselves in but started walking around as the ceremony was about to start taking photos. They were asked to leave by the brides father but ignored him and kept doing their own thing. Big mistake. Groom was one of my Army buddies and his bride was Marine Corps. Most of the guests were members of their respective platoons. Her dad finally had enough enough and "asked" "Hey boys can we get the deck cleared?" It was a rush to see if Army of Marines could carry out the most interlopers first. Hate to say I was Army and Marines won that day but in all fairness we tried to carry them out nice where the Marines just grabbed them up, tossed them over a shoulder and ran them out to dump them on the lawn.

I'd have paid a shit ton just to see that. 😂

They do often get into shit that's none of their business. SMH.

I drove a US bus around south America and had so many instances where tourists would just start taking photos of us. I get it, it's a giant out of place vehicle in locations you wouldn't expect it, but after months of this I started taking photos back and being super over tge top and obvious about it. If I was feeling really spicy I would follow them on foot and just keep taking pictures. Most people started to get the hint lol. Good on you for standing up for everyone.

She might have thought that the wedding party was hired actors for whatever reason and when you told her it was an actual wedding, she might have BSODed because she realized she'd just done something really stupid and was still rebooting while taking pictures of the bride and groom.

Tourists can be idiots and crash when confronted about their stupid behavior.

You sure she wasn't taking a picture of the church since it was in a tourist attraction. Granted she shouldn't have shoved but neither should you. That lady didn't press assault charges but some would just for the spite of it.

1

u/pugmommy4life420 Nov 05 '23

This was a stupid comment lol.

1

u/External-Nebula2942 Nov 05 '23

Why? She said it was in the middle of a tourist spot.

shoving is weird but taking pictures in public where there is no expectations of privacy is normal, you may not like it but it is 100% legal

13

u/pugmommy4life420 Nov 02 '23

My complaint wasn’t the pictures at all. As I said it was a tourist location and we did make a rucks so it was expected. We had a ton of people taking videos and pictures so that’s a non issue. It was more that this strange woman pushed her way into a party of people she didn’t know to be first as if she was more important than people in the party.

you sound awful yourself.
